Mr. Jaqe Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 I have this school project and I need to draw some scetches for it, so why not do it in AM to make an impression? the only prob I got is that I need my flat area to be filled with grass and prefferebly also some sand/rocks. My questions are: what's the best way to create grass? and how do I create sand? Here's the space I need to fill out: Quote
agep Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 not sure how to do it. but ho about using hair as the gras and a decal of sand (both bump and color)?? Quote
Mr. Jaqe Posted February 9, 2005 Author Posted February 9, 2005 found a tutorial for grassmaking, but what I need is how to make a small-rocked sand-shore... so I dunno if textures alone would do Quote
agep Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 how about this one(I did a FAST search)? grass, with some adaptation it might do the trick? Quote
Mr. Jaqe Posted February 9, 2005 Author Posted February 9, 2005 thnx, but I already found what I wanted. thnx anyways. Still need help on the rocks tho Quote
Mr. Jaqe Posted February 9, 2005 Author Posted February 9, 2005 I just noticed something, in the tutorial you posted agep, the same I found, it says I have to change 2 imgaes's proterties given to other and then more options are supose to pop up... first of all, I have to add the property manually and secondly I can't change it to length because I have nothing to change it to but blank :S Quote
Mr. Jaqe Posted February 9, 2005 Author Posted February 9, 2005 my question is this: how do I add a premade texture to the grass? made it in photoshop and saved it as a .jpg. Anyone? Quote
Mr. Jaqe Posted February 9, 2005 Author Posted February 9, 2005 My non-existing God, I seem to either experience a lot of bugs or the day just isn't mine... All of a sudden I GOT the properties I wanted... :S So Im happy now Quote
Mr. Jaqe Posted February 10, 2005 Author Posted February 10, 2005 Finally sorted almost all my probs, just got one left: what's up with the strange color? and for some reason I can't add "Normal Delta" property to my decal... May that be the problem? because now it looks like this: Grassy_close_up.mov Quote
starwarsguy Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 It has a nice look, but the ground doesn't look natural, and it's too dark to see alot. Quote
Mr. Jaqe Posted February 10, 2005 Author Posted February 10, 2005 I actually had to redo the whole crap, something wierd happend and the grass kept acting wierd and stuff, so Im back to square one... *sigh* Quote
bentothemax Posted July 10, 2005 Posted July 10, 2005 hmmm . . . in the material laboratory, someone asked for a shoreline material, i posted a few things. That might help you. I could try a few things though . . . Quote
