starwarsguy
I've been working on this for like a week. It's finally done. Mostly...
Admin Rodney Posted January 20, 2005 Admin Share Posted January 20, 2005 Kyle, Looks nice! You have some nice detail modeled into it. I'm not sure what level of detail you still have planned. I'm talking additional decals and texturing. If you are going for realism I'd consider going with flat edged/faced tires versus torus wheels. If you are going more for a toy look disregard as that would work fine. Looks like a fine Fire Truck, Pumper to me.
pixelmech
Great Job! I'd like to see a bigger pic. The red color is dead on. I'll make a few suggestions: - The tires are round, not like real tires. Look at the profile of a real truck tire, it's near flat. That would make it look more real. A blackwall would help on the tires too, or lettering. - How about some diamondplate on that silver...yeah that would be sweet! - Mix in some blue lights in with the red lights - I believe they usually have blue and red - as well as white even too. - How about a badge on the side man! Really nice work. Tom
starwarsguy
First of all, thanks for the tip on the tires, guys. That was the one part where I just winged it... As for the blue lights, there are none on this one. Here's my reference.
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted January 20, 2005 Hash Fellow Share Posted January 20, 2005 That's a pretty decent model, especially with only one ref pic. Yeah, some more details would make it even better. But how does a fire truck fit into a SW fanfilm?
starwarsguy
LOL. Read my name where "Master" would go. Man of 1000 Projects! I must keep my bad reputation of continuously making random things and abandoning others. Just kidding. That fanfilm kind of got busted because my counterpart (doing most of the planning) just kind of disappeared. Go figure... But it's not my fault this time! starwarsguy
(it doubled my post so I'll just write in here) Next I'm making a ladder truck. Then I'm gonna try the Cooper tutorials on humans.
