  1. I've begun throwing some colours on the areas that are complete (fuselage being the exception) but it's really beginning to look like a colonial viper!
  2. um, 12%? I dunno *sweats and panics* I have only a little of the modeling left. I just have the rest of the interior of the cockpit to model and then these side things on the fuselage, but I'm kinda stuck on those at the moment, the main problem is getting it to fit in with the mesh. Then it's texturing time
  3. this shot essentially doesn't show anything new, it's just a different angle:
  4. I have the side engines complete and just a few minor things left to the top engine Model is currently at 10,660 patches
  5. Here's the Viper with the ejection seat
  6. here's what I'm at so far with the cockpit
  7. those be the pics I've been using as my rotos and references, though I have a few more, a close-up of the engine, a different one of the cockpit
  8. Now is one of the tricky parts as I have no exact references, just fish eye views and angled pics, but I have begun work on the interior of the cockpit:
  9. seeing as I haven't really posted any, here's the front view
  10. thanks. I think a lot of it comes down to having the patience to do it. I have patience, but only to a certain degree. I think part of it is just me developing the patience to see this through
  11. Not a huge progress report, but I've begun the under-carriage. I was gonna do the cockpit, but I think I'm avoiding it ATM
  12. I was gonna try and work my way up, doing the mark VII next, then a raider, raptor, galactica, but there's no reason why two of us can't model the same thing
  13. well, I been beveling the easy stuff, though it's very time consuming
  14. well, I've only put bevels on the wings cause those general get a fair bit of close up time like when it's in the hanger bay
  15. here's some more shots Model is currently at 6708 patches
  16. no, I have no idea what Sweeper is.
  17. those engines have some crapload of detail to model, very time consuming
  18. I re-built the wings and tried my best at the beveling thing. Now working on the basic structure for the third engine:
  19. no movie, just modeling. I'd bevel but I haven't got patience for it and I've never tried it.
  20. geez, I can just imagine a tank from Terrahawks or something going through there and then something blows up as is customary with Terrahawks!
  21. one of my problems I continually have is notice on the wing how you can see each bend.
  22. Just to play around a little, I have decided to model a Mark II Viper from the remade BSG. My modeling skills suck (as can be seen here) but it's somewhat fun to model and there's no BSG models kicking around from what I can tell, so here's what I got so far:
  23. ah, I see, interesting. I suppose if someone had a program like after effects, they could apply a similar method for doing animations and controlling DOF in a different way than just directly in AM
