  1. Bob T says E

    Act seq(Letter and Color) scene.

    So I take that as

    two_1_A_03.cho

    Or should it be

    two_act1_seqA_scene03.cho

I asked for the table of letters and colors.

No luck getting the color table, colors can't be in the filename anyways. I'll update the Data Management plan. Svn folder names will have to wait until I get back (around the 27th).

    Happy Holidays!

the second one is dead on the money happy holidays back at you

  2. Ok, here's the latest update to the monkey. I made the tail straight, made the forearms longer, made the hands bigger, lowered the knees, and added feet (which still need a bunch of work). Let me know what you think. Thanks.

    Kevin

He looks great to me. My only comment would be the feet could be a little longer for grabbing etc.Great Job.

  3. Kevin,

I think they can be a little bigger than what they are at the moment. Scale them up to what you think looks good and then give us a look. They don't necessarily have to be the size Alain drew, because the green monkey shouldn't look very realistic.

    Jim

As nice a s that tail looks you may want to keep it straight out so it can be figure 8 animated.

  4. Here's another update. I added the cape.

Ken: I looked at your Yoop one, but in the end I made my own from an existing cape I had. They were about the same size so I thought that would work out better :).

All I have left to model are the belly armor straps and the hands. Unless Jim and/or Bob think of something else.

    excellent! rig that baby

  5. a bit more progress. Mostly just tweaking proportions. Especially in the face. how do the eyes look? I think they could get the range of espressions in the sketches.[attachmentid=12283][attachmentid=12284][attachmentid=12285][attachmentid=12286]

Bob, does the posterior rumpus still need beefing up?

    matt

Matt hes gorgious! perhaps take a smidgen off the length of the bell as ken observed .She's a riot .I love you r work . Its approved! thankyou so much for your excellence.

  6. Nice work Kevin !

I'm wondering about primate proportion of this model

Here some suggest about that topic

    Thanks

    Al

I tend to agree with both prior posts I think it is looking remarkable and aAains suggestions are good ones your almost there nice job!

  7. Here's a little update.

Jim: Could you let me know if the pants need more wrinkles? If they do, could you do your Photoshop magic and show me where? I suck at clothing wrinkles.

As far as Im, concerned hes done! Perfect! lets move on please . A magnificent model And I think he fits the rest of the charactersto a tee. We can noodle endlessly but my eye says stop here... its approved. Great Job

  8. Bob: Here's a version with the legs and arms elongated. Let me know as soon as you can if this is the way you want to go. If it's good, do you still want me to skinnify him? :)

EDIT: This was jusy a real quick pulling of cps. I can get it to look better than what is posted here.

    looks fine to me.

    BobT

  9. Nice work Kevin. I'm also not getting the morphing of hats/ no hat on some characters but on others after the change either.

Actually they should all carry their own hats for ID .The model looks great Kevin I agree with the body comments, should be a little longer, and not so shapely its getting very real looking remember to keep the characature look.

    BobT

Thanks Bob. I'll also try to make his body more angular/caricature-looking like Jim's sketch, I have a tendancy to smooth my organic models out too much ... I've been working on it but it keeps cropping back up. Are you still playing with hair color ideas?

    Kevin

    H Kevin

The idea is to keep the oridginal film colors for audience Id purposes. That puts Woot in the colors of the lion so that puts the monkey in the lions colors as well, golds yellows browns etc.

    BobT

  10. Yes. There will probably be lots of 5 point patches, but I think we need the actual geometry there.

    Jim

Ok, no problem with this for me. Might be for the animators, haha.

Wow! you've really capture the sketch with this one. Great work, Zaryin! I like it a lot!

Thanks alot, Matt. I appreciate the support.

Here is an update with the armor, sans straps. I got the belly armor to conform fairly well. I would have got it better, but I can't find where to increase the amount of cps in a Distortion Grid. If someone would be willing to point me to where I could, please let me know. Thanks.

Let me join the choral and say great job my only comment is he could be slightly taller or slightly slimmer to look taller he has to dominate over Woot,This is a guy I think we all want to animate.Wonderful modeling.

  12. Sorry I couldn't get Nimee Aimee finished today, but here's a taste of what I'm working on.

Jim, are the bear and the rabbit good to go that were posted on the forum, or have they been updated by you or Bob since then. I'll get them done this week if they are, they'll be easy to do.

great dynamics on the skirt ,yes as far as Im concerned the rabbit and the bear are ready I hope they are the latest rev as posted .Jim would know for sure.

    BobT

  13. Here's where I'll post all the models that I rigged with the final squetch rig.

We'll start with Chopfyt. I think I've done all I can do with weighting on him, so Ken If you want to start smartskinnig, he's all yours. The face rig is in the rig, but not in place, I don't have time for that, sorry.

I'll try to get a few more models posted today as I finish them. I have the rigs installed in Nimee Aimee and Tin Woodsman, Nimee needs a dynamic rig for the skirt which I have in place, but still needs some work and poses, Tinman needs weighting in the joints, which is turning into real fun, and Scarecrow needs some weighting updated. I have a long day ahead of me.

    Knee controls not working

    BT

  14. BTW I have a similar cloak in my Yoop model. You can use it if you like. The model's in the thread.

PS Also, Bob, if you ever did want to avoid that scene with the villagers saying goodbye, you could have the servant say something like:

"There's a great crowed awaiting your departure"

    But Tinman says,

"Actually, I'd rather leave by the back door. Please throw a party in my stead"

This might enforce Tinmans humbilness (sp?) and his embarrasment about why he's going on the trip.

Of course that's if you didn't want the scene....

Good idea Ken ... Ive taken a few back doors in my day, but I think its important that we see how loved and reveered the tinman as a benevolent leader is We will figure someting out. Its an important character point if we are to care for the poor love sick fella. You know everybody loves him but he cant have the one he loves stuff.

    BT

  15. Nice! He's going to be great. I notice that the top lip seems to be quite thin. Also, the strap doesn't necessarily have to "stick" to the contours of the face.....for example, there could be a gap going up to his cheek from his jaw.

I wonder if we're going to be modeling alot of winkie characters. There are some saying goodbye to the group in the animatice. It seems alot of extra work for just one scene. I think the story can still work without the villagers and concentrating on the select group.

Ive been thinking about that it would be nice to do as pixar did on incredibles .Have one generic character that can be manipulated into many easily.Im going to try to design the ultimate winkie this week end.

  16. I agree it should be able to take her weight but I love the bed, and it is what was in the animatic/even though shes a mean avatar I think she pictures herself as quite feminine and demure at a full 680 and 9 feet tall so the bed suits her . I think its rather funny seeing her act dainty bow the mattress .Gorgious job by the way !

    BobT

    Thanks Bob.

So which version of the bed should I continue to work on?

The 2 pillow is magnificent..You are some craftsman! This is really a wonderful crew Ive lucked into.
