  1. Hi! I never introduced myself. Kinda shy. I' m MadFox. Referring to the quick red fox jumps over the lazy brown dog. Where shall I start. I'm a graduated academic free graphic design. That implicates working on etches, lithographic's (yes, that ancient stones) paintings. http://home.kpn.nl/lo2kf8/homepage/gimli00.htm After being passed the first year grade the question raised what I wanted to choose: the commercial degree, or the free graphic enhancement. Knowing myself I always had a bad angor against publicity. Not sure why, but it always felt to me as a lie to offer a product that's made to please a customer, but stands against my own moral. OK, whatever. So I choose the free graphics, and I must say.., sure it did'nt bring me much luck in profit sense. So as stubborn I was I kept on working, feeling like a fish tempting to swim against the current. Now I'm much older now (graduated 1978) but there was one thing that stayed on my mind and that was there was also a film and movie education. But that direction was very expensive and had a high standard to access. Anyway. While doing so, it must be around 1995, I received a second hand 386computer from my brother. I was really stunned by the thing. So surprisingly when buying a sound card for it, I received three floppy's of Gold Disk, animation works. (Yes, they still had that feathers and goodies with their products). https://archive.org/details/TNM_Animation_Works_software_-_Gold_Disk_20170827_0311 I was really raged! Here was my chance to get into animation. So I bought an Intuos Wacom drawbar and scribbled away for years. It was there I made TubeHead, the living monitor. From then it went faster. There was CorelDraw4, with another movie studio, that was better and more convienent. Not limited to 256 colours, and more power to store animation and write out to avi format. It must be around 2000 I was with a friend, who was tinkering with A:M v8. Again I was stunned. Now I could even change to 3d. Had not much money to spend (again, that free graphic artist was crumbling on its witzend) but from then I was stuck to this program in any way. There I go, puzzling Gary Anderson''s Thunderbird's through heaven. ( seeing it used as an example on A:M movies for a queried film student. gimme back my copyrights., HA!). Using it for wrecking out monsters for my beloved Quake game addiction. And I must say, wouldn't it be for the love of the game, or for the expansion if my fantasy I would share this A:M programme 24 hours a day. I'm still working on my graphis, painting and music. Just trying to avoid the magnet this program offers me. Shine on, you passive spline! 😍
  2. Made a "dinkytoy" of one of the crossviews of the THunderbird2 atributes. It is a little bulldozer. The rail blades gave me a though rigging camp. animation: thunderbird2 bulldozer shutl08.mdl shutl06.act
  3. Well.., I think I decal the model from start again. Opening the projectfile goes rather well, but the individual model file breaks up in scattered imagefiles. Tends to be a tedious case that way. And.., I ment *.pdf. 🙂
  4. Found the cause of the error was in the alpha channel, as photoshop didn't add the alpha channel on tga or png. PSD seems to do it. Won't explain why the others without alpha work, but anyway. Nice effect. maybe too shiny. sign030.pdf
  5. I used the sign030.tga again to force transparent, but now the model glares through. Strange that the sign111.tga and sign221.tga without alpha render correkt, while the sign03.tga doesn't. sign030.tga
  6. I made a projectfile. Hope all info is there. In fact there are two models.., schaal21 renders fine. schaal1881.mdl results in black alpah's. probably because of layers in the wrong order. AM_TB300.zip
  7. The decals on thunderbird3 with the anouncement and the big no3 supposed to be transparant. They have a decal with alpha, but they render out black. While the hull would shin red through.
  8. Made some progress with the streak emitters, they run smoothly now. Th e strange effect was that all additions I made in the model kept resistent in the drivers options. So when I changed the parms I kept on getting strange results. Untill I cleaned up the drivers group. Sometimes it takes a long time to understand the fixing error. As now, the model looked good in Amv16, but Am19 seems to give black alpha channels. https://youtu.be/tSskFfOk-Jo
  9. That is quiet a challenging offer! Not sure if anything of the original animations are reachable, but it sure feels like it is worth a try.
  10. The Gift from Cyro kept me playing for months. Here a few more models. 😊
  11. Last time in 2013 it took winxp 23minutes. A new computer gives another result. Windows 11 64bit Intel Core i9 10900x @ 3.70GHz 10 cores 20 threads AM v19 0.op SSE4 😊
  12. Thanks for your answer, RobCat. Everything works fine. I just hadn't made my account registered. I can download the non expire version. What I wondered. The box looks just the same as the one I bought in 2016. That was AMv.16. Does it matters in price if I decide to use the extra DVD or not? I mean, is there much difference in the one I had in 2016?
  13. NetRendering is a great solution to overcome this problem. The rendertime with four nodes straightens out for a quart of the time. Now I made this 32sec render in 2h30 on 1480x1233. In 2002 on a Pentium100 on AMv.11 it took 48houres on 640x480.
  14. Now I'm a bit comfortable with netrendering I intend to do so. But I was searching for a link to the never expire version of AM.
  15. Yes, but then I thought.., if I buy the "never experire" last update, maybe I get four new nodes.😄 I'm now on AM v.16.0 that I can update to v17g. A bit too late for an update. So where can I find that "never expire v19" one?
  16. Small search on my side. After finding the download page for Animation_Master it seems as if the links to: "Subscription" "Never Expiring" and "Rendernodes" always return to the same first page. A bit confusing, as I need one of the other two. Is there a more practical way to get used to a multiple choice admitment? 🤔 🙂
  17. I converted a Quake3 model once that has a slight resemblence in it. 👍
  18. It is a new computer. Not sure what is the cause. I am a kind of impatient person. On winxp it just glides to on as soon as I reach the icon. On won11 I have to "beat" twice before it reacts. Every time that question mark before it works.
  19. Well, sorry again for asking. But I still have the feeling the icon delay doesn't seem to stop. While I'm working half of the time the "touched" icon doesn't reply and I end up without respnd. Maybe I am working too fast, but it is a rather anoying phenomena. It is as if the icon replies with another sign of the icon, that wants to explain what the icon does, and then jumps over it. Is there an oppertunity to get rid of this behaviour, or do I miss something? It only happens on the glass, hand and turn icon. FormatFactory Screen Record20220910_170646.mp4
  20. That wizard got me hooked on Quake for the last 25 years! Not to mention the model exploration AnimationMaster set me on trade.
  21. Not sure what garden furniture has to do with puppit strings.
  22. Thanks for your answers! I do appreciate that. Still half of the honour goes to dumptrunc, because without his patience in practising the video it wouldn't have had that impact.
  23. Here is a small promotion video dumptrunc made of my quake atributions I made with AnimationMaster.
  24. I just use avi file, full frames uncompressed. An image sequence would do, but I'm a little concerned 30 sec comes to 900 frames. Not that bad, but why does it work on Win7 and not on Win11. It looks like a compatibility problem with win11 with some kind of dll. That novilty problem.
