Downloading / Installing the current version of A:M
Madfox replied to Madfox's topic in Animation:Master
Well, that seems rather an improvement on V.11.1! I always wondered how to get rid of that blue sky? That is five times as fast, and the feathers now are well orientated. Good Job, makes rendering a lot quicker. Jay!!! -

Ha, no that's not what I ment. I'm working on two computers, one with the new programm for rendering and another one for working while rendering is done. It's more the way to update to a computer without web service. I can upload the updates and change them with a USB stick. Although stand allone computers are a bit stubborn without the net. As I install the programm I need an activation log. Not sure what a unplugged computer will do. -

Alright, don't think I'm complaining, already glad to have the programm! I just chequed some facts as I have made some screenshots when I bought it. Indeed it was the website you linked to. As lucky I am the billnote says 3-8- 2012 7:52 , and that's the excact moment you refreshed the website. Another reason is I'm very patchy to own the programm without internet. Nothing wrong with downloading but I want to have something in my hands. I can update, sure.., but on a computer without internet installing them ain't easy. -

@Darkwing - I waited quiet a long time before selling as I had no Paypall. So I wanted to use banknote, but then my account was updated. @Robocat - I expected that answer. For the same reason I miss the next update. Maybe a bit naive of me but on the website only V16.0 was obtainable. And as buying a new programm the least I would expect is to get the latest one. -
Hey Animation Master. As owner of versions V8.0 & V11.1 I thought to buy the newest version of the AnimationMaster. So I linked to the webstore and filled in the chart formula and waited for a few weeks. Now I'm here with V16.0 and I'm glad all over. How come your version V17.0 is out since 4 august 2012 and I bought the latest pack 24 august? sincerely yours, madfox.

I'm trying to get a car model in shape. Have been working around with the airplain example, and switched them into a Citroèn. Think I made some failure in the perspective, because it got some scratches. Made myself a bit difuse for keeping all part-names for decaling. Fun to do!

I tried the streaktest and added a bone to it. When I use a path and bind the streak emitter to it the flame goes round. The Thunderbird model has also the same trusterfire added. But this is tied to the first bone of the model, which lies excentric of the streakemitter. The same happens, when I add a smoke trail. It seems to loos the orïentation of the fire trail. I know there are ways to compare both, as done in the manual with the hat on the table. But for some reason I can't figure it out. fs166.mpg fs167.mpg

The landscape is a rough dxf file I used as underground. I know the rendring is quiet flat, but more to show off the model. It helped indeed, baking actions. Still it took me about 6 houres. I tried the streaktest, but I own AM2005. It replied in error, I dunnoh which version you have? Maybe baking actions solve the problem. Thunderbird4.mpg

I finished the fourth one, Thunderbird 4. The animating on my computer really goes slow. To make an animation of 8 sec took me almost 9 houres. Shame it is a little too low, as The Prince of Persia, stranded in time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_GE0qjfrtc But they sure look good!

The life exp. is 00:00:07 I set out a path, connected it to the vehicle, and run a 00:19:00 animation over the whole path. For some reason and forgetting the glitches, the streak-emmitter takes care for the round path. I know it sounds strange, but my question is a way to get the variables in this streak emitter to collide with the path. It seems a little strange to make account for every frame in the streak emitter of the turning angle. In a walking model ( I know this hasn't anything attached to it or it has to be hair) the path of the model collides free, when a path is attached to it. I don't have to rearrange the angle the model walks frame by frame. Now I have several examples of the model turning with the flame in a 90 degrees corner, or the flames keep comming from one side, even when the model has turned. Sorry my knowledge of the streak emmitter is that poor. I could make a jetstream in a model frame, but than it hasn't that moving alook like a flame truster does.
-
If I do so theflame truster becomes shorter and wider. My intention was to have a long and smooth small flame yet. As long as the model is standing still I get this effect, but as soon as the model is in motion, the flame seems to break and leave odd spaces. Then the higger velocity and lower life expectancy attends to scatter the flame. Reason why I neede to hang the model still and turn camera and background. I tried one by adding a path to it, and as long the circel is small the effect is becoming what I wanted. Only the sharp corners make it look odd somehow. turn06.mpg
-
I lowered the Life expectancy and made the Initial Velocity higher. Still the origin of the trusterflame keeps in the same direction. For making it clear, I use AM2005 so there's no Show Advanced Properties. Also I'm a little abused by the PWS, sorry I'm a little acronoid. Couldn't it work just like adding a path to a model in choreochraphie, so the model uses the action in the right way?
-
It's not the copyrights I'm concerned with. That'll be alright. It's more that I can't find the options how to get the streak emitter turn.
-
Well, this one goes right horizontal. If I collide the flames keep on the same arrow. turn01.mpg

Thanks for your answer! Here are some more. I forced the bit-amount, so they will look cheeky. There is something on my mind, though. When I have a model that turns straight in the air, the parameters for the smoke/fire are constant. What do I have to do to turn them in a corner? I mean, looking at the the second anim, the aircraft makes a turn. When I add straight smoke/fire to them, the collision will go on forward, which is a little odd flying backwards. So I just turned camera and background, which is quiet a lot work more. Does it take a lot of correktion, or can this be done with a path? TB01.mpg TB02.mpg TB03.mpg Tb11.mpg

A small model I made of Garry Anderson's 60thies TV serie "The Thunderbirds". I know they have copyrights, but I just couldn't stand the temptation. tb112.mpg

Thanks for your replies! I was a bit weird at the end because the whole thing took me some years. Most work were the combined movements of the different atributes in part. I was really glad I could use the AM for the most guestures. An other part was to screen them back cell by cell as my AM didn't had the cartoon feather. I have tried to send them in to an animation festival but it wasn't "speedy" enough against other participants. Even the Zizone site has scattered it back to the last movies as they changed the Kunst& Cultuur page back to a Cultuur&Kunst page which shafted it page under again. If I start the site I can't even find it back. But I'm much obliged to get some feedback of you, yes I do. About the backsound... well I felt so stupid making a computer pray for its Main Drone I guess I made the sound somehow too low. Another thing is that the CorelMove Editor I used wasn't able to get the sounds synchrone, and it's capacity only had one minute. So it was quit a hell of a job to get all pieces together, espacially amongst the periode of time. (I started on win3.1 and ended on winXp, so let's say 1996 - 2004) Thanks again for your support, I'm quit amazed, didn't expect it.

It means... uh let's say, I tried to conceal an animation of the nowadays multymedia perception. As the change from radio to gramophone to television to computer tends to open up the horizon of the individual user. Cartoons always had my attention untill computer made it possible to create my own. From that point I owned myself a Wacom and soon experienced the big heap that excist between willing and doing. I never have been educated for this so I was glad I could use the Animation Master's model Tom to fit my needs. From then I was screening short avi's to fit in my own animation, having no plan, no script, just working from the moment. I wondered what it would take to make three minutes of animation. So what you see is just the intuitive tryings of my search to a coherent story. It's not a proffesional cartoon, it moves to slow, hardly to amuse a seven year old child. This is due to the lack of scripting, more the sheep that follows the surprise of the curling line. Hope you voted, or at least had a minor smile!

It's not what I ment, but well what I wanted! Just don't mind the zizone banners.

Just a small question. I tried earlier and wondered why I couldn't upload a movie of 9 seconds I made with the animation Master. The first time, some months ago, I thought it was my computer with virussscanner and firewall. Now I tried again and I can only fill in the description, and then I come to the thumbnail page. I can push any button, nothing happens. Is it my computer or is it the protected area I'm bouncing on? Not that I worry that much, but I thought I would let you know. Thanks, MadFox.

Hey thanks, robcat2075! That worked. I remeber I had touched some buttons but I was forgotten which where. And there are so many. Greetz!

I can click and add any frame, but it gives no outcome. I have the Am2000 studio, I imported a self made model mdl. I create a new action with this model. Say I count it to 15, change my model, and go back to 0. the model don't change back to the first frame but keeps freezed in the last stand, also on count 0. And that was not my starting frame. I can do what I want, but every change in the behaviour of the bones in the model don't relate to the framebox. On another computer the frames change their behaviour and there's an arrow in the framebox. Here is no arrow, as if the new added frames are not integrated.

After some weeks I wanted to restart my exercise on "Taking A Walk" and I saw to my surprise I couldn't add frames to my Act folder? The numbers just run on, but as I changes the bones structure, the arrow doe'sn't appear. After that, when I go back to the first frame, the whole animation freezes in the last frame. I don't know what happened, the last act folders have nothing wrong and show the good framenumber. But for some strange reason I can't edit new frames. I reïnstalled the programm, but the problem isn't solved. Could it be new software I have installed recently?

Thanks for your answer. Where can I find this patch for the CD input? Is it in the Help files? I ain't got a dongle. I use the Animation Master 2005. my computer statics are: http://members.home.nl/gimli/Statics.htm It isn't so I can't save the animation to avi. When I try to save work under *.prj or *.mdl the program holds.

After buying a new computer I installed AM2005. Made some animations and wanted to save. Suddenlly programm ends. Tried again, but for some reason the programm terminates. Iyt isn't a big animation, trying to make a wheel for a carmodel. The computer runs under WinXp Media Centrum. Second is my concern I can't copy my AM2005 disk, so is there a way to make the programm start without the CD input? When installing the whole CD on my computer there's still the question NO CD found. I would be glad to understand these questions.
