  1. i've always been a fan of the darker dark knight, so overall he looks great to me! his head and shoulders seem to be the most defined, but i'd want to see more detail on his abdomen. i.e. a washboard stomach. his waist seems a bit wide for my tastes, but you might be going for the tree-trunk look. i don't mean that as a slam, that's just my impression. keep up the good work, and lets see more! -jon
  2. i think i like mike's suggestion over my own, but for some reason i just can't find cp weights anywhere! they have those in 8.5, right? ' ' ) (i'm not budging 'till ap v11 is gold!) -jon
  3. excellent work! too good in fact. now i'm considering adding your webbing to my squid lady. ' ' ) -jon (how about a radial bone with two aim-at constraints for those webs to smooth 'em out?)
  4. never save over an existing file if you can't afford to lose it. use save as with a unique name whenever you can. this goes for projects, models, whatever. i may be paranoid, but it's been a looong time since i've lost more than 15 minutes of work. -jon
  5. a ship has boats on it. if you don't have boats, you're on a boat. it's that simple ' ' ) -jon ps: nice ship!
  6. my very first thought was a mixture of elvis and clinton... so i guess you nailed it! ' ' ) i'd ask you to do dubyah next, but since he's already doing all of us, it seems kinda pointless. -jon
  7. sigh.. this is the third time i've changed my mind about this... but i'm going to let bianca keep her natural skin color and all of her body parts (mouth, nose, etc.), and give the costume a more desaturated look. i'll post an update when i can. -jon
  8. could anyone compare increased geometry detail versus displacement maps as it impacts realtime 3d? i imagine that with the newest video cards, displacement maps might be a more efficient way of adding detail, versus more complex geometry. thanks, -jon ps: thanks for the legwork john!
  9. martian queen is correct! for those not able to partake of duck dodgers... marvin the martian is back, and serves his similiarly-featureless queen. think cleopatra with light-absorbing skin and no mouth and you're most of the way there. -jon
  10. well, a better neckpiece, tiara thing and some straps are needed to complete the costume. and her hair is roughed in. a clue to it's origin is that you're gonna be lost without the cartoon network. ' ' ) anytime you need an arctic pigs fix, you can find bianca (sporting a much more contemporary look) on my site. -jon ps: i'm still not convinced on number 3. ' ' ~
  11. i thought i coded it so a gif shows up if you're not pig enabled... here's a screencap: thanks for taking the time to ask! -jon
  12. hello, please check out my latest wip: bianca's next costume http://www.luminousshadows.com/wip/ 1> do you recognize the character? 2> does it work in this more realistic style? 3> what the hek is wrong with me? -jon
  13. looking at her ears, the outer ridge seems overly thin. everything else about the character is slightly unrealistic... which is the essence of 'style'. good job! the wardrobe is just fine. not quite business casual, but i've seen teens wear far worse. keep it up! -jon
  14. i'm not sure why, but a creepy fish carrying an egg seems much more evil than a creepy fish with teeth. is this really a psychology test? -jon
  15. will, looking at the last few frames, the hooves seem a little flat and/or untextured. it's nothing an audience will see, but it stood out to me in an otherwise very believable model! -jon
  16. overall, she looks pretty good. i agree that the lips would look better fuller, but that's personal preference. they do currently seem a little... angular? not quite sure. the big thing that distracts me is that the sides of her head are perfectly flat and vertical. kinda unorganic. in spite of my nitpicking, a strong design! -jon

    Cartoony boy

great work! as far as the ear goes, it helps with the whole 'physical puppet' feel. i'm biased, however, as i've always just jammed on my ears. if you don't get around to integrating it into your head, i'd move the tiny convergence point under the skin to hide it. -jon
