If you increse the path length so Bill walks farther down the path then turns and play with camera angel(maybe not even needed?) bill would appear to be on other side of trot from that camera angle

Might I suggest that you just drag Bill farther down the path while sc is talking you could just move the root bone and it's fixed. I have skype my name is the forum name we could talk about this. We should have talked about this before hand I guess
The positions of the characters were established in Layout I just animated them from were they were.I don't know why but this is really depressing

I'm pretty sure you can get the URL to a particular post by clicking on the text that reads "Post #xx" in the upper right corner of each post.
I am rendering out a test render now I post a link to it here tommorow. Ok in my scene I have placed the camera in the corn field so I think we should just turn off the corn in my chr which I have done either that or I am going to have to move some corn around. I committed a file to SVN in the movie folder for my scene seeing it's bigger than what we should be posting on forum.

Here's the latest and greatest. Animated and lip synced.
Looks good, and totally drew me into the story.
There needs to be at least 2 new establishing shots:
1) We need to see the apple core fly into the cornfield and bounce off of something. (We don't need to actually see Scarecrow.)
2) We need to see a medium or possibly a long shot of Scarecrow near the edge of the cornfield before the closeup.
I think a shot starting wide to show loacation then closing up on SC setting himself up to start practicing, then Trot and Bill walk into set, which is this shot. This shot would need no dialog and once we know SC is in cornfield we might not need a shot of SC getting hit. Try that first then maybe a quick shot of SC getting hit if that does not play right.

It may be just because I'm an "Old White Guy" (OWG) but this song,, makes my butt clench up. No question - it was easy to cut from TWO... HOWEVER, it's my wife Gwynne's favorite song! That's why I always argue that criticism is relative, and basically useless unless it somehow pertains to the target audience. I suspect the target audience of TWO (young girls) would like this song? (But being an OWG, I don't surely know.)
When I cut this song, I had to re-Edit the sequence it was in quite a bit because the song was part of the story, but I actually liked the new Edit a LOT better. If you have the 90-minute version, compare the two endings and let me know what you think?
The 90 minute version was too long and I observed that people lost interest. The songs seemed to pull people away from what I observed (the songs were good) but making them fit and work takes something that perhaps we lacked? Some parts that did not meet the big studio standards meet with question about why is green monkey and straw bear walking through grass and flowers with the flowers not bending around them as they push through them? ( Of course these people have no idea of the difficulties in making this happen
. But people are accostumed to Pixar quality to detial and demand it! Be that fair or not that is what they expect to see.I like the 72 minute version much better but I have not yet had someone reply to my suggestions requests of viewing it and people seem to walk away after a minute or two even if I place my lap top infront of them. I guess I am just not a normal person
and I think this movie making has to be something that we do without any appluase from the general public and do it as a labour of Love! -

What ever happened to the ST original animation the this when SC was doing the Mohamed Ali impersonation. That was an excellent Animation?

1st animation for this fight scene. I remeber us talking about it on the forum years ago I forget who animated it but you told me who it was. I will try to find it but SC was saying Mohamed Ali "Faster than a ? and stings like a bee " then check out my fancy foot work and was dancing around TW and goes between his legs. It was done really well and I fell out of my chair laughing when I saw it. I did find it a long time ago baried under the sets ground it was at Y zero and the set was way up int the plus Y and I thought we would just move it up but then we redid the script I guess? that scene would be good to add to out takes IMHO
I think I remember animating that fight scene. I just looked on my harddrive and cant find it though.
That was awesome animating for Bob Taylor that guy really really new his stuff. Nice guy too.
I am not sure if it was even posted on the forum I remember seeing it while updating SVN and the title caught my eye and I had to check that .mov out and I really loved it. Very well done!!
This is the thread were I asked about this and I found 1/2 SC motion but TW is standing still I remember it was done and Sc going under TW legs LOL

I cutfrom TWO because too many people complained about the animation in it. I put newbies on this sequence (and Loonville), including me. I like the clever dialog, and I think Tin Woodman & Scarecrow really come across as friends getting on each other's nerves. You can probably see the theme of the sequences that were cut... If they were mood setters & characterizations, they were outta there. As I said before in this blog: the goal of the YouTube version of TWO was to be as long as possible without exceeding the general audience's attention span. We must have succeeded because I've never heard the comment, "it's too long," since I made this Edit. Of course, the DVD version is the full 90-minutes with everything in its place, and even includes stuff we're not showing on YouTube.

Thanks Martin it was an extreme challenge for me I had just finished TAoAM and Boot camp and was accepted into TWO by Robert Taylor. I was the most green and the most in-experienced member of this Animating team and the 13th Animator working under Bob at the time and as Bob told me in a gentle and freindly voice that I was the worst animator he had seen, but he liked my attitude and offered to help me improve. I then went through a great bunch of leaders/mentors but you are right this sequence went through alot of leadership changes each bring in there own take on how it should be done then it's Leadership was assigned to me
I am glad to see SC bed scenes with him taking his blanket off and jumping out of bed. I manually Animated that blanket in Muscle mode each cp of the balnket was animated Mainly becasue I was not able to rig it and get a good result LOL. -
Yes I see what you are taling about I tried to fix that without meshing up the other arcing motion. What do you think of this?

I try to leave comments - they don't always show up. Are the comments being filtered ?
Also perhaps if hashinc2007 also left comments on other's videos (the ones with millions of eyeballs, or those that are related) - there might be more reciprocal views?
I have tried several times to reply to the comments made and leave them as well 90% percent of them do not get posted? I tried to copy past them into clipboard and retried several time. After a while I gave up

I guess what's throwing me is that I'm not sure when/if Scarecrow is reacting to that crow landing on him. Does he notice it before it lands? after? Is he trying to ignore it?
I'm not sure which way he's going with that.
What I am planning is that when SC says
For my practicing (bird lands on hat) has not been been vary successfull (SC looks at bird annoyed) In fact my friend TW (SC looks down rejected/defeated) would diss approve. The bird leaves near end of scene not sure when yet and scroll is used as well but is used as a prop to have SC having something to act with but he through that away as well before end of scene.
I have it mapped out in my head and I planning to animate it through from start to finish I do not want to pose it out totally incase I revise my plan and I wanted to animate something.

Survied my 1st week of on job training and I really enjoyed it! I have to wait tell march to see if I am accepted into RPN course. I also completed my 1st Aide CPR leve HCP and I write my entrance exam on teh 28th of this month. Wish me luck friends!

This is a hard sequence because it's three characters with not much to do but talk.
Exactly! That is why I added the crow into the the scene: I planning on having SC swirl it around and tip his chin with it while he is talking so to make it more interesting.
That line is SC asking Bill and Trot, (Bill is the peg-legged guy and Trot is the small girl).

Hi Friends and fellow movie Project particapants
Some of you already know that I used to work in the Auto Sector until Dec 2008. Well that is over and I have been trying to switch careers and have I enrolled into a Local college for a nursing program I find out March 1st if I am in and I just been accepted for a entry position in a healthcare facilaty starting in march which is going to employ me as a work my way through college. who says 45 is to old to start over LOL
Will after a couple months of hard work trying to re-employ myself I starting to see results and beginning a new adventure. This is going to be fun and hard work but that's fine I like to work hard learning something new! -
My Daughter (who is an adult) and I both enjoyed that alot the timing is right one and very funny!

Also, I found it a bit rediculous that the Hash, Inc. WIKI did not mention where to actually find the TWO movie release. Many of your WIKI pages are in desperate need of updating.
For example, the Main Page TWO on the Hash, Inc. WIKI doesn't even mention that the TWO project was finished. In fact, it suggests just the opposite. Among other things, it claims "to find out more about TWO visit the TWO area in the A:M Forum." But, in actuality, that link takes one to the "Hash Movie Project" area of the forums, which is now occupied by the SO (Scarecrow of Oz) project, which is the new project after TWO.
Even the Tin Woodman of Oz page on the WIKI doesn't explain about the projects current status or where to find the movie.
My point is that these out-of-date pages are confusing to visitors and new members such as myself. I would think that Hash, Inc. would want it to be known far and wide about the release of this major movie project that promotes their software product!
In any case, I suggest you consider uploading the TWO movie to someplace other than YouTube. While extremely popular, YouTube is known for rather poor quality video. And YouTube is extremely restrictive on the size and number of minutes in duration, hence having to split it up into nearly a dozen parts.
Perhaps someone is willing to upload to someplace like Revver? Their FAQ states:
We do not have an upper limit on length of video so long as your file is under 100MB.We accept the following formats: MOV, MPEG, MPG, MP4, WMV, ASF, AVI (including DIVX).
And if 100MB is not enough for the entire thing, it could easily be broken into two or more parts. (It should take much less than 11 parts, however!)
If Revver is not an option, how about Veoh?
But, IMHO, the best and most obvious option would be to host the .avi, mov, or .mpeg on hash.com itself! (Or at least on some file host like Rapidshare.) Some of us, particularly those of us cursed with slow internet speeds, want to be able to download the entire movie (preferable in high quality) and to watch at our leasure. And downloading once takes less bandwidth than watching and re-watching it over several times online. We might even want to burn it to disk and then share with friends and family. Who knows, that might get friends and family interested in Animation Master...
Perhaps If you are willing you can help us in permoting TWO? You need to talk to Martin before doing anything he is the Project leader. The situation is this is a Volunteer Group Project and we need more help in doing the things you just suggested. It's not that we are not aware of these problems and we all want them updated/fixed there is simply no one able to do it. We each do what we want or know how to do or enjoy. I want to Animate so that is how I help he Project and over the years of us as a team doing this we get people that volunteer and these things work well but they seem to drop off after a while and each one of us are trying to get what we are working on done that these things get missed.
We have a saying here in the Movie Project Group and in these forums. When making suggestions about how to improve things be prepared to asked to implement your suggestion if we agree to them.

Maybe if we had them put closer to cave and slowed down teh swimming it would be more ? realistic or believeable? Martins right they are swiming too fast but if you slow them down it looks it's not a possible swim? maybe not sure?
