  1. I'll have to get back to you on that one when I know exactly what I want. In the meantime, do you mind posting some samples of your work, I think me and everyone else would love to see some of it. Thanks - Eric

  2. Hi Dhar - not quire sure yet, was just trying to line up an artist. Still thinking about the character - working on one now, so it will be my next one. I want it to be a person though - need practice modelling a human face - but I definately want it cartoon style - not photorealistic.

  3. I am refreshing my memory with the online Ref Manuel for Hair/Fur

    http://www.hash.com/Technical_Reference/v110/Hair.htm

They refer to "Stiffness" below - I am just not seeing that setting in the Hair System or Hair Emitters properties

"Stiffness: Controls how stiff or ridged each hair strand is. The stiffer the value the less affect dynamics and forces such as gravity has on the hair. This value is a percentage to adjust all the child Hair Emitter's Stiffness values."

Has it been changed or located somewhere else in v14?

    -E

  4. Hi Djbreit - thanks for your reply, but I think you misunderstood what I was asking for. I'm not just starting out - I've been working w/ the program for a few years, and have gotten generally comfortable with modelling - I was looking for an artist that could draw a character to my description that I could use as a rotoscope to create the character. For example, one of the human characters from Ratatoulle - I just can't draw like that, or even close. ;)

    Thanks - Eric

  5. Lazlo - thanks for the 2 book links and great idea. Rodney - definately share - didn't really see anything about how to get or do the artwork is why I posted.

  6. Hey Brayden - I don't have an exact idea right now of what character I am going to do, but wanted to get a connection w/ an artist. Do you have anything you have done that you can email me, or a website w/ your work on it?? Thanks - E

  7. Can anyone recommend an artist for hire that could draw a character (front & side) that could be used as a rotoscope? I have to search the internet for pics when I create a character, since my drawing skill is limited to a bad stick figure. It really limits me to what I can create.

    Thanks - Eric

  8. Hi - my next practice model is going to be a Tucan, and I have searched all over for pictures - and found some great ones, but can't seem to find any with their mouths open, to where I could see what the inside of their mouth looks like. Any Tucan experts out there. ;) Does anyone happen to know if they have a short, small or long skinny tongue? Any good pic links would be appreciated.

There was this link - it looks like a long skinny tongue, but not sure if it was something he was eating...

Pic of Tucan w/ Mouth open

    Thank you - Eric
