  1. Hello - I have never played around w/ putting a character on a path - so I thought I would try it out. I have the character placed in a chor and created a circle path to have the character walk around in a circle. I constrained the character to the path and it all works fine. I also had created a walk cycle for the character as an action from 00:00:00 - 00:01:05 that I dropped on him in the chor. When I play it, it takes a long time to go around the circle - my question is how do you adjust the 'speed' of the walk on the path? Thanks - Eric

  2. Hi - I think I had this problem before, but did a couple of searches and can not find it... so maybe not. When I click on my character in the project workspace the "main" bone I guess it would be is huge and seems to get selected on accident because it is so large - can I shrink this down w/o shrinking down the character? It isn't the "root" bone - because when I click on that it is a normal size. Thanks - Eric

  3. Hi - Work mellowed out a bit, so I just started back up modeling a motorcycle from a few months back, and I am working on the tires and need some suggestions on how to put tread on a tire w/o the use of a decal. I did a seach, but didn't really come up w/ anything. I created a torus, but not sure where to go from there. Any suggestions would be appreciated, or even better if there happens to be a tutorial someone knows of. Thanks again - Eric.

  4. Hi Mike - thanks for the reply - I actually went into the model and brushed the area around that was having the issue and that fixed the problem - maybe a hair cp was to close to another one or something. Thanks again for your time. ;) Eric

  5. Hello - I have a character in a chor that I created hair for - did the whole brushing and everything - looks fine when viewing as a model - but in the chor - there are a few places where sections of the characters hair is sticking up - then when I render - that portion of the hair that is sticking up shakes and twitches a bit... kind of odd. Has anyone else run into this issue? Is there some way I accidentally tweaked the hair in the chor? Thanks for any suggestions. - Eric

  6. Hi - the other day I posted asking if you can export a model as a .3ds and I was told yes. My new question is - can you export a fully rigged model and have someone pull it into 3Ds and animate it using the AM rig?

    Thanks,

    Eric

  7. Hi Robert - thanks for your reply - it is an animation they need at 1920x1080 - but it is actually rendering a lot faster than I thought it would - I have 4GB of ram... I need to have a little more faith in my computer. ;) Great idea on the multiple instance idea.

  8. Hi - I am working on a project for a client and they need it in a high resolution and a little worried about rendering time to meet the deadline - and they have access to be able to log-in I guess to another computer for rendering. Have never heard of it, but they need to know if AM supports "grid/parallel computing" - has anyone ever heard of this or know. Thanks for the help on my other 4 posts today - you guys are great. ;)

    Thanks,

    Eric

  9. Hello - I created a model and the rigged him, and then did all the poses - then started the chor. I realized I needed another pose, so I went back and created it, but it will not work in the current chor. I pulled it into a second chor to test it and it worked fine. Any ideas? Thanks
