  1. Wicked! - that would be nice to see you there Stuart. I know that Exeter is a long way from London though...
  2. Looks like only three of us so far... C'mon Keates, Pequod, Steven where are you lot hiding?
  3. Bloody Hell m8! That was a quick response... nice to hear from you again! Haven't seen a post from Parlo for ages. Oh, BTW, I don't like chocolate... more of a beer man myself
  4. What happened to the next meeting due in April guys? Is the LAMUG, GLAM, B:AM or whatever we called it defunct? It would be nice to catch up with you guys again at the Chocolate Factory for another little session
  5. Well, that's a very nice mouth, might be a touch sharp on the upper lip - although I am not sure about the nose. The nose looks a bit flat, I think that those nostrils need a little nore definition at the front/bottom and the end of the nose looks a little too boxy...
  6. Done a bit more to this flick - man animation is time consuming It still seems to be a bit wooden and I need to refine it even more, but I think its getting there - what do you lot think??? It's quite large (2.4mb so be warned). Doors Please note: This flick does contain a mild swear word
  7. Well I haven't done what you guys have suggested - yet I will add these things later. I just wanted to get the base lipsync and blockling out done first. So here is how far I have got so far. For some reason the lipsync don't look to good from the side although it does look OK when I did it looking directly at Bella Bear... I think I am gonna have to make those phoneme shapes much more pronounced, she looks more like she is mumbling... doors.zip
  8. Robcat Yeah I see what you mean Bella's head might seem a little stiff. I won't add touches like that just yet I want to block most of the animation out first, than go back and add refinements in a second sweep. I am doing the lipsyncing now for the dialogue which scared me to start (I haven't done it in a while) then absorbed me afterward FYI the animation is based on a scene from the film 'The Italian Job'. I'll let you wait for the dialogue to work out which bit
  9. Hi Hashers Having finished the third and final storyboard for Bella Bear I decided to do some animation with Bella & Hannah. For this I chose a famous scene from a famous film and decided to replace the characters with mine - bit like the 10 Second club. Anyway, here's what I have done so far - I look forward to any coments and criticsms (I wonder if you can guess what film the scene is from ) Doors_Flick.mov
  10. Thanx m8, but that's no sweater… that's Bear Fur
  11. Having finished me third BB storyboard, I decided to do some animation. I started by giving BB some eyebrows, reducing the sharpness on her cheeks and giving her a proper join on her neckline. What do you Hashers think? I have also notice an anomally under her right eye. There is a 5-point patch there and it normal is pointing in the right direction (as on the other side), but whereas it renders fine in model mode it doesn't when I drop it in a choreography with lights. I get that shadow artifact… I am using AM 11.1e on the PC.
  12. Well thankyou Paul, and yes I am still pluggin away at Bella Bear & Co. - I must admit sometimes it does seem to be all uphill but I am looking forward to what's on the other side, whatever that may be I know the leaves are sticking through the kite bt I had a few set backs today. I had Hannah waving her magic wand with particles attached and all it seemed to do was crash my scene (do you think her spell was pointed at me?). So I lost a little time and that's why me leave ain't riot. Anyway, I have only six shots left to do and that all three stories under me belt and time for animating - so watch this space!
  13. Hi Hashers Just thought I'd post another image from my third Bella Bear story just for fun... This shows you what happens when you go hang gliding on a kite without a licence I have nearly finished this third story (storyboard format) and once done I am anxious to start animating some of the scenes... that should be fun
  14. Well, when I finally got there (the London Underground had decided to do maintenance work right on the route I was trying to take) I met up with the rest of the BA:Mers in the pub, then off we went to the Chocolate Factory. Personally, I think it went better than the previous venue - and not just because I had discovered where the volume button was on the laptop We all strutted out stuff, except Pequod who was too cold, and it was great to see Steven there showing us all the interesting rigging systems using expressions that he has developed. I thought Johns animation around the picture gallery was highly amusing and started to wonder about my poor animation skills. But I must say it certainly recharged my batteries and has inspired me to press on and start doing some little animated sequences of me own to a much better level. I was sorry that Paul couldn't make it. I would have liked to see what he's been upto but I hope he's reading this little summary and Parlo said there will probably be another venue in March/April. By then I might have some animation to show that I am pleased with All in all a great event (well, I thought so anyway) and sorry I had to dash off so quickly but it was getting past my bedtime…
  15. Nope! Just looked, sorry I didn't get back earlier the internet connection in my area seems to have been down for hours
  16. Yes, I'll be there armed with the 'Incredible Laptop' and thousands of questions for anyone who wants to hear them or even answer them...
  17. I'm free all of February and so if the 'Mighty' laptop
  18. Well we're a good week into February, has anyone got an idea of a date yet? I am looking forward to this meeting (if it happens)...
  19. All Gee Fanks guys & girls, you've made someone who's enthusiam is waning a bit bounce back again CreativeAustinYankee Yeah, I know what you mean. Thing is I didn't really know what the inside of a talking trees mouth should look like - I'll have to think about this mtpeak2 Yeah I knew this one, I just kinda got lazy and forgot to do it I will re-render it soon once I decide what to line the inside of the mouth with.
  20. Blimey, these are quick replies - thanks guys you've made my day Nancy You're quite right I haven't added any bump to the tree, I was so carried away with the intial impression that I quite simply forgot… I will add one later today for a re-rendering
  21. Well I could help posting this, I know a lot of you have already seen this model but I kinda finished off the texturing and the scene with Bella and Hannah. I was so pleased that I wanted to show everyone... who might be interested... even in the slightest... or who happens to click on this post by mistake...
  22. Well at £5/hour each that don't sound alot but if you were to spend 3-4 hours there that would be £15-20 each - ouch! If Parlo was to get the room in February that's only a couple of weeks away and I would have so much more stuff to show everyone What say you lot?
  23. Garry? Whose Garry? I am Gary OK, less of the smart-arsing around. I have a mouse, a latpop and I know how the sound works this time, but whether I can make the 29th I don't know yet so I will say a provisional… wait for it! YES! I have lots of things I'd like to discuss with you lovely lot, as I am sure you have with the rest of us. So hopefully I will see you all there with the 'Incredible Laptop'. We just need to firm up on times and venues.
  24. I have I also know how to work the volume now
  25. Zaryin This model is taking shape but I see what you mean about those breasts, they look like they have had silicon implants in them if you want the honest truth. Thing is there is no definitive breastis there, they come in all shapes and sizes and I have see a few I think that they need to have less of a gap between them on the chest and not quite so bulbous on the top near the nipple. Kinda conveying that they have a bit of weight rather that sticking so proudly forwards if you know what I mean
