  1. Yeah, I knew something was off but I never thought of rotating the tires, for some reason. I'm glad you like the stage character, AniMattor. I was originally making him for a claymation short a long while ago, but decided to convert him to 3d. Thanks for your comments!!
  2. I agree, I like the poses. But why are his shoulders twitching at the end?
  3. I made this portfolio for a class, which required 3 original shorts, each around 5 seconds long. I'm still learning about modeling, rigging and animation, so I appreciate any comments and constructive criticism on how I can improve. Hope you enjoy. (I know I could improve lots on animating the last clip, but I had to rush it) Pstage.mov downtown1.mov piano1.mov
  4. Awesome character! I love it! That would be great to see him animated.
  5. That is the most beautiful example of water I've seen done on A:M yet.

Think I found it. I might have to re-install it, although I've done that once before and it hasn't seemed to have made a difference. I'm assuming none of my project files saved to my hard drive will be harmed by re-installing the program, will they?

Yes, but when I right-click in the model window, it's still the same as that.

Already did that. It doesn't matter where I right-click, the menu is the same as that. I have no plug-ins either.

Seriously, there is no such thing as a 'Wizards' option on my program.

For now I'm stuck with the 2002 version of this software, and I need to make some text. It would be tedious to model each letter from scratch, not to mention challenging, so I hoped there was a text option somewhere. There isn't. I've heard about some Wizard Font plug-in that provides text, so I looked it up on Google, hoping it was freeware I could download....no luck. Can somebody help me out?
  12. Her cheecks and chin need to move along with her mouth. When her mouth opens, her chin would fall down slightly, and when her mouth closes it would go back up. If you look in a mirror and talk you can also notice your cheeks stretching and relaxing a little bit. It's especially noticeable since her cheeks are so puffed out in that certain position that they aren't moving. Anyway, that's my impression. Looks interesting. edit: Sorry, I think that might have been redundant.
  13. Ahhh, but of course! Really? Download where? And you're welcome, Dhar. I've watched it at least a dozen times now. Every time I told myself this would be the last time watching a particular segment, my compulsive hand would click play again, over and over and over again.
  14. I already mentioned Tak as an example, but okay. Most of the best examples are here: http://www.animationmentor.com/quicktime/winterShowcase/ Here's a pic from it:
  15. I'm sorry if there's already a helpful link or something that I've missed, but I've been studying eye anatomy to make realistic looking eyes, and I've noticed other 3d projects with usually simple irises but they're illuminated.....light fades around the edges. An example would be the character Tak. I just want to know how other people are doing it, maybe it'll save me a missed shortcut. I like the look of those eyes.
  16. Cute penguin! I vote regular too. I've never really liked the look of toon render on 3d.
  17. Everything in this is totally amazing. You create great people! And seeing TWO animation makes me really interested in seeing the finished movie, far more so than any stills. Such awesome stuff!
  18. Well that's just about the easiest thing in the world. *slaps face* Thanks!
  19. I've just run into a problem when I saved a model file, opened it in a project and animated it. I need to show the project file to somebody and if I just send the .prj file then the model will be lost. As much as I could just also send them the model file, is there a way I can convert the hard disk file for it into a regular model/rigged and animated? I can copy/paste the modeled object into a new model window and that will only take care of the modeling. It wouldn't be rigged or animated. Hope this makes any sense.
  20. One of the things I've seen around here is that apparently people can make games out of Animation: Master. Am I correct on this? If so, how does that work? What are the requirements? This is a totally new concept to me, making games from a personal 3d animation program. Sounds like something fun. Another thing is making money. Just out of curiosity, how exactly do average A:M users go about selling their own animation? If that actually happens, often? I've heard there might be certain websites to do it. This is also a relatively new discovery. I'd love for some clarification on these things.
  21. Thanks. This tutorial looks pretty good. I'll have to sink my teeth in it tomorrow though. My eyes are about to fall out of my sockets from staring at the computer screen so intently for hours.
  22. I tried keyframing in the exact position earlier. What and where is the curve editor?
  23. When animating an object, how do you keep it completely still in one segment between keyframes and then move it again? An example is a character that stops everything it's doing briefly, frozen in time, then looks around. It seems like any animation program won't let you do that because it only allows constant movement while you're animating. Can anyone help?
