KenH Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 Are people happily using TSM2? Am I the only one waiting for a fix for the thumb and leg problem? Are they even problems or am I doing something wrong? Quote
Guest Rogelio Guzman Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 Are the ankles and knees twisting and the thumb not bending properly. This is what is happening to me, I thought it was something I was doing. I was just checking to see if there were some postings about this. Quote
Paul Forwood Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 Personally, I have put TSM2 aside for the moment. It obviously has some problems that need sorting so I am just getting on with building my own rigs and hope that they sort this out soon. I know that there are alot of frustrated people wanting to rig their models. The silence from Anzovin is a bit worrying though! Quote
KenH Posted September 25, 2004 Author Posted September 25, 2004 Glad it's not just me. Hopefully Anzovins will have a fix soonish. Quote
Ian Harrowell Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 I am having no problems with the leg rig, now. There seems to be these new extra bones in the limb bones, my assumption, pending further ducumentation, is they either are there for some twist function or they assist in the new stretch function. In the meantime, I assign all control points to the upper limb (number1)bones, ignoring the new lower (Number 2) bones. Also I have little "roll-like hand" bones all down the forearms, I also make them children of the higher level ( 1) bones. Until I know what the (2) bones are doing, I am not using them. They are not required in my rig, in fact the make things go a bit wierd. I also will delete "thumb rig" in the final Rig dialogue box until the glitch is sorted. This allows me to animate the thumb using the geometry bones in the meantime. These stretch limb things looks very useful, and I am so confident in the guys Anzovin Studios, I am plowing ahead re-rigging. The guts of it is, by ignoring the secondary limb bones for the time being, I am getting the same results as I used to get. Ian. Quote

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Phil. We know how to fix the thumb and will have that up shortly. The leg twisting is caused by an issue involving how quaterions are handled in the Hash SDK and we are working with them to fix that. Meantime, Morgan had a death in the family and I was back in the hospital for 6 days to treat an abdominal abscess following my cancer surgery. Bad things unfortunately do occur in the outside world, and that's why you have not heard from us. However, we will, as I say, have the new version up very soon. Steve Anzovin Studio Quote
KenH Posted September 28, 2004 Author Posted September 28, 2004 Sorry to hear about all that Hope you're feeling better too. I didn't mean to put pressure on you all....I'm just eager. Quote
Paul Forwood Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Dear Steve and Morgan, I am so very sorry to hear that you have both been suffering. Your well being is more important than any rigging problems. I wish you both peace and all the healing that you can soak up. Best wishes. Paul Forwood Quote
