starwarsguy Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 And here he is! The star of my fanfilm is finally textured with the proper authority markings! The one, the only, Clone Commander: Quote
KenH Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 Nice! The only crit would be his boxy looking belt. Can't wait to see him fighting it out against Darth....or whatever star wars is about now adays. Quote
starwarsguy Posted August 30, 2004 Author Posted August 30, 2004 The belts are supposed to look boxy... I think Quote
KenH Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 I know what you mean. It's just a small chamfer would round it off nicely. If you'll pardon the pun. Quote
Admin Rodney Posted August 30, 2004 Admin Posted August 30, 2004 In the words of Emilio (MoscaFilms) you can adjust the magnitude on that area and it will create a nice bevel effect. You might try a setting of 160 or more and see what it looks like. Nice trooper! *Edited 8 to 160 as I was going the wrong direction! Sorry. Quote
firekid1234 Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 Very nice! I cant wait to see him with his DXR6 Carbine in action! Im currently working on an animation movie with lots of explosions...and...um...well I will be as soon as I get am.... Quote
starwarsguy Posted August 31, 2004 Author Posted August 31, 2004 come over sometime and i'll show ya some cool exlplosion techniques Quote
robmilliken Posted September 1, 2004 Posted September 1, 2004 I like it! Just dirty it up a little bit, and it'll look it's place! I couldn't hardly believe it when I saw the behind the scenes DVD that in the second prequel that they never manufactured a real suit. All the clones in suits were CG. Let us know when the fanfilm is done! Rob Milliken Quote
starwarsguy Posted September 1, 2004 Author Posted September 1, 2004 I am looking for textures to make the armor dirty. If not, i'll try making some. THe hard part is that half the dirt is red and half is brown. Maybe people won't be looking too close. lol Quote
Admin Rodney Posted September 1, 2004 Admin Posted September 1, 2004 Have you tested how weather maps look on your models. I think even if you decide to add other means to add texturing weathering will help. Weathering Effect (Online Tech Ref Info) Good Luck! Rodney Quote
starwarsguy Posted September 1, 2004 Author Posted September 1, 2004 Thank you so much, guys! I am almost done with the model and your suggestions make it look, in my opinion, GREAT! I'll post a picture when I'm done. Thanks again! Quote
starwarsguy Posted September 1, 2004 Author Posted September 1, 2004 Here he is newly textured and weathered! yes, i realize the 4 circles on his chestplate are missing, i'm adding that now Quote
Alien_Films Posted September 2, 2004 Posted September 2, 2004 I've not been around here much lately, but that is a pretty impressive model!! Can't wait to see him in action!!! If there is ever anything that I can help you with, just let me know. As you can see in my sig, I've got a Star Wars fan film that used A:M under my belt. Quote
starwarsguy Posted September 2, 2004 Author Posted September 2, 2004 I saw the Assassin. The first time I watched it, I was very impressed that you useed A:M for it. Quote
