Sorry this is a bit rough but I spent 20 minutes on it

 

 

render as line thread and a pose slider..very rough watch the last few stitches

That is just too brilliant. You have to stop now, you are going to hurt yourself. Like the guy in Stephen Kings "Firestarter", he got nose bleeds when he "thought" real hard.

 

You really should have Thom getting himself "stitched".

 

What is shaggy doing in there anyway?

Does he represent the overworked/underpaid illegal immigrant sweatshop workers? Or is he a representation of the illegal child labor used in the third world garment industry?

 

This animation has so many levels...

Is it any wonder that when I suggested using render as lines In David's post about fabric I was thinkin of how JohnL3D might do it?

Thanks for the comments on a reallly rough example..and Vern I added the character in there to show that the "cloth"and not the needle was moving no other reason,,and it was just a tga on a layer. hopefully the idea can be refined
