Ross Smith
This is a little short I made to test my new character's rig and (few) face poses. He will become much more elaborate in the future, with any hope. Video format is MPEG - 1. Wasting Time Audio and titles added in post. Thanks. ZachBG
That's pretty funny! I'd love to see how you modeled and rigged the eyes. Works really well. Zach

Parlo
Ross - - you've got some really nice movement there! Can't wait to see more from the tubby fella.
Ross Smith
Thanks for the responses, guys! I'm working on the mouth rig right now... it's a lot more complex than I had figured. But it'll get done eventually. I'll have more tests later. I'm glad that this is actually funny.
Cirrocco
HARDY HAR HAR! I didn't see that one coming! I love the characterization, and the sound is just perfect! Nice set up with the classical music, then the sucker punch with the lip-fiddling and the text! Thanks for sharing that with us! That brought a smile to my face! littleandy
That's awesome, man! I'm looking forward to more of this character. I agree, the classical music really gives it a lot of humor. And timing is great. Nice work! -Andrew
zacktaich
I'd like to see what this character would look like with black pupils. Could you post a .jpeg? Really cool stuff. Made me laugh.

Ross Smith
Hey there, gang. I've been out of town for three weeks (brief school-sponsored trip in Munich!), so's I haven't been keeping track of the forums. Thanks for the posts. Per your request, Zack, the same guy with black pupils: Black Pupils And here are two more renders I made for kicks: Which Hat? Mystery! I have to completely re-do his rig. The rig he had before was one I fashioned myself, and it worked well -- that is, until I tried to get real results out of it. I went through the steps and installed the 2001 rig, and all the magic works so far. Got to work out some problems, such as the necklessness, and remake all his poses (for other reasons). More later! Admin Rodney Posted June 2, 2004 Admin Share Posted June 2, 2004 Ross, Okay... Okay.... I take it back.... I was wrong. He is no Killer Bean! I think you've got a great character goin' on! Lookin forward to seeing more of him too. Especially if there is some detective type theme somewhere in there.... Love those eyes too! modernhorse
Hey Ross, Thanks for posting the additional renders. I must say I dig the black pupils. Good luck with the rigging. Oh it hurts !! Doug
zacktaich
I like the black! The light blue is a bit too hard to read. Makes the facial animation hard to read.
Ross Smith
The black really works, eh? That surprises me, I admit. I am going for a color scheme (obviously), so maybe we can compromise with a darker blue? I'll post that and some other stuff later in the WIP section, since this little item is out of the showcase for now.
Newbert_Zero
that was a waste of time
