*A:M User* Roger Posted May 21, 2018 *A:M User* Posted May 21, 2018 Ran across this on Youtube, I've never seen animation on an oscilloscope before: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaTuFB5QXHo Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted May 21, 2018 Hash Fellow Posted May 21, 2018 That's quite impressive. Quote
*A:M User* Roger Posted May 21, 2018 Author *A:M User* Posted May 21, 2018 I did a bit more digging, apparently he has a website with an album as well as the software used to create the animations: https://oscilloscopemusic.com/software.php Not quite an impulse purchase, but not horrendously expensive either for something that has niche appeal. Admin Rodney Posted May 21, 2018 Admin Posted May 21, 2018 It is impressive that sound can be formed like that. Very interesting. Quote

I'm not so sure that they aren't using non-audible tones to generate the animation and then embedding that in another signal (the music). That seems to be the way they are doing it, if I'm understanding the software description correctly. Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted May 22, 2018 Hash Fellow Posted May 22, 2018 I tried the drawing app and it seems they are using some interaction between the left and right stereo channels to guide the "pen" so it's not really sound "waves" that are being charted. Quote
