Tore Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Maybe a stupid question...but here goes: Is there a simple and preferable one-click solution to clean up images loaded into a project? That is: deleting unused image files from project? Quote
Admin Rodney Posted October 17, 2015 Admin Posted October 17, 2015 Hmmm... I assume you mean to say that you don't necessarily know which images are being used and you want to remove all those that aren't being used anyway? If you know which ones they are you can shift click (or Control Click) them in the PWS and then hit the delete key. Quote
Tore Posted October 17, 2015 Author Posted October 17, 2015 Hmmm... I assume you mean to say that you don't necessarily know which images are being used and you want to remove all those that aren't being used anyway? Exactly Rodney. After having experimented extensively with a scene, I often end up with a loooong list of images of wich maybe only 10% are actually used in the scene. They take time to load, can be confusing in the work with the scene and make it difficult to archive/move the scene later on (without archiving them all). I use Sony Movie Studio Platinum for final assembling/editing, and in this program there is a menu command named "clean media" that does exactly what I wish for in one click. But something similar is not an option in A:M, or...? Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted October 17, 2015 Hash Fellow Posted October 17, 2015 There is no clean-up command for that. Possible... move all the images to a different folder, then load the PRJ. As it asks you to find the ones you really need, you can move those back into the original folder and all the ones it doesn't need will be be left behind. Quote

Now that I think about it some more, I don't think this will work. A:M will still ask for the images that are in the images folder but not used elsewhere. Quote
NancyGormezano Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 What I would do: 1) save all the chor(s) that are contained in the project to separate files (*.cho) 2) start a new project 3) import all the saved chors into this new project only those images that are used will be imported. 1 Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted October 17, 2015 Hash Fellow Posted October 17, 2015 Very clever, Nancy! Quote
Admin Rodney Posted October 17, 2015 Admin Posted October 17, 2015 Ha! Brialliant. There's Nancy, programming features like 'Chor Image Filtering' without dropping a single bit or byte of code. Quote
