bcgreen24
So I'm finally starting to wrap my head around modeling with patches, and now I'm digging into various texturing techniques... https://youtu.be/dVVwayFoPMQ Question: when you apply an image per patch (i.e., by selecting a patch, right-clicking on it, then choosing 'Add Image') can the UV's be adjusted for each patch to better position/size the image? Thanks! Bryan
NancyGormezano
select the patches that need to be adjusted using the "patch group select" tool with patches selected, right click on patch and select rotate image until image is oriented correctly tis a pain if you have many patches that need adjusting. You can also set the repeat count for the image to something other than 1 x 1 if you want more than 1 instance of the image on a patch. Depending on what you need, decals are usually the better route. Patch images will be expanded to fit the size of each patch.
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted July 12, 2015 Hash Fellow Share Posted July 12, 2015 It is possible to rotate a "patch image" on a patch by selecting the patch, then >Rotate Images but other transformations are not possible. If you need more freely positioned images use regular decals. UVs can be edited after apply a regular decal. I rarely use patch images because regular decals are more flexible.
