PC crashed - Need to reinstall/reactivate A:M

I paid for a subscription of A:M and my PC and it crashed and I lost all my info,is there a way I can download it again or do I have to pay for it? The Sub has not run out yet.

Assuming you purchased online and not at a tradeshow all you should have to do is go into your account at the Hash Inc store and retrieve your activation number.

If purchased some other way you'd have to go direct with Jason at Hash Inc.

 

Of course you can download the installers at any time. Downloading and installation itself doesn't require activation.

Of course you will need that activation code to activate and use A:M after installation.

 

Note that if you are now on a different computer Hash will have to generate you a new activation code for that machine.

It is not recognizing the email that I used,it is saying that it is not in the database. I am dying here.

It's always worked for me. Granted, I don't often reformat hard drives or swap out hardware on my machines.

I've not once had to contact Jason to reactivate a current subscription on the same machine I originally activated A:M with that same key.

 

The brave can test this theory... just frag your current installation (not recommended!) then reinstall A:M and attempt to reactivate using your original key.

As the activation code is tied to that specific computer it should activate A:M on that same computer again.

Of course if that activation is already expired... you'd certainly be wasting your time there.

Yes, that is a good reason to keep that file safe. I've had to copy/paste the master0.lic before but not always. I've had to remove it on occasion, especially in the case of a new activation.

 

In the instance of a harddrive being wiped clean, losing this file may be the dealbreaker as the license file will likely need to be replaced.

By contacting Jason, it is my understanding that he will flag the old activation as obsolete and then issue out a new code for activation.
