Simon Edmondson Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showt...mp;hl=Composite While looking for more info on compositing I came across this thread from 2006 about a plug in that Marcel Bricman had written for T Wessling. There was some talk that he may have introduced it to the wider AM community later on and I wondered if there was any news on that now ? regards simon Apologies. Just found another thread about Sumi and couldn't stop this one. My Mistake. Quote
markw Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 That was a nice looking plugin with some great potential! According to this post here the source code may have been sent to Hash Inc? Did anyone ask Hash back then? Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted March 11, 2013 Hash Fellow Posted March 11, 2013 The sumi plugin seems to load properly in v15j+. I haven't tried it beyond that. Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted March 11, 2013 Hash Fellow Posted March 11, 2013 I've never tried it before! Here's a bit of oddness created by sweeping the "Detection Sensitivity" setting from 0 to 100 with this randomly grabbed image... SumiH450.mov Quote
NancyGormezano Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I have used it sucessfully in 15j+, but it is broken in 16b(32). I haven't tried it since then, as when I submitted A:M report (nov 2011), I got this reply: The change required to get the plugin back working will break all other post plugins :-( . The only chance to get this plugin back working is , to recompile it. But we don't have the source code, so it is not possible. Getting dependant on a plug-in is the pits, when the source code is not available. (eg Sumi, Fakeao, TSM, ... what else?) Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted March 11, 2013 Hash Fellow Posted March 11, 2013 Is Marcel Brickman completely incommunicado? Quote
Simon Edmondson Posted March 11, 2013 Author Posted March 11, 2013 I downloaded the zip file with it in from the other thread, pardon my ignorance but, how do you install and use plug ins ? The twit. Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted March 11, 2013 Hash Fellow Posted March 11, 2013 The "Post plugins" folder has .pfx plugins in it. Put it there. Quote
markw Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I downloaded the zip file with it in from the other thread, pardon my ignorance but, how do you install and use plug ins ? The twit. I fear it's not going to work on the Mac, even in v15 going by this post here. Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted March 11, 2013 Hash Fellow Posted March 11, 2013 Yeah, it's PC only for now. Sorry. If anyone can find Marcel Brickman... Quote
