Gerry
I was working on my iMac last night, with the new OS, and I don't know what I did exactly but it seems I hit some key or key combo, and now I can't drag anything. Can't drag icons on the desktop, can't drag items out of a finder window, nothin. I can highlight and select and open things, but no dragging. I'm completely stumped and don't know where to start. I use two input devices, a mouse and an Intuos tablet. Any advice would help.
pixelplucker
Display option for snapping to a grid? Long time ago I was on my mac and all of a sudden my cursor would jump back to the same spot no matter what. I could move only just a little bit and it would jump back. Of course this was in the middle of a rush job with papers and notes all over the desk. After taking the mouse apart and cleaning out all the furballs and a half dozen restarts I realized the tablet pen had fallen out of it's holder and rolled next to the tablet. largento
I did a quick search and it seems to be a problem people are having (using Lion.) A quick-fix suggested by a forum user is to put your Mac to sleep and then wake it up. This apparently fixes the problem until it's restarted. It seems like it's related to having an Nvidia card and using a 3rd party display app (like Air Display). Here's their info about it: http://blog.avatron.com/post/20422624624/a...vidia-9400-9600 Supposedly it's been fixed for all but a few MacBook Pro models, so your iMac should be fixed. Have you run the latest updates? [EDIT] Looks like that's a different issue than yours. Could you have locked something? Display option for snapping to a grid? LOL, pixelplucker, I've had that happen to me before, too. Got a good laugh when I realized what was causing the problem. :-)
Gerry
The one thing I didn't do was restart, I just shut down because it was late. I'll try tonight and see if it's behaving.
Gerry
Ran home at lunch, everything's fine after a restart!
