The mysterious part was that nobody knew what the heck was going on. They probably funded more than a few updates via people that will never use the program. Any time you can get thousands upon thousands of people that won't use your program to pay you money... well... That's free money. It worked once... but I wonder if they are ballsy enough to try it again. If they made enough money to make it worth their time (which I assume they did) you'll see another similar offer. Quote
