I have a logo that was created in Photoshop and has a Drop Shadow effect around the CD and the word "METRONOME."

I've made a short animation for it, but I cannot get that Drop Shadow Effect. Does anyone have any way of creating this effect in A:M?

Also, if you have any suggestions on how to improve the animation, I would be glad to hear it.

Thanks,

Nima

Hey, haven't seen you around for a while!

That all-around drop shadow will be tough to do with one light. Here's a shadow done with no lights but with AO instead.

This is done by having the camera point straight down at the letters which are just above the ground plane.

Sweet, the Metronome! I saw a Twins game there once!

OR: If you really-really LOVE your Photoshop-drop(stifles a yawn)... render out a sequence without a background and with an alpha-channel, make an 'action' in Photoshop (you are the P'shop expert) that will apply that KICK-ASS drop shadow to every single frame.

Or even hold off until the logo comes into its final position and replace it with the actual logo, with drop shadows in place.
