Gerry
this is about the silliest, loopiest animated film imaginable. it's not pitched at kids but I saw it this afternoon in a theatre packed with little kids and for the last twenty minutes (especially once Rattlesnake Jake makes his appearance) you could hear a pin drop. it has sly references to about a dozen different movies (and probably a lot more) from Star Wars to Chinatown to High Noon. Clint Eastwood makes a hilarious appearance at the end. The animation is seamless, and though technically there are some issues of scale, it's all in the service of telling a story that places no limits on silliness. Great voice talent throughout, and Johnny Depp makes it seem easy as usual.
zandoriastudios
I loved it! I about fell out of my chair when they played "Ride of the Valkyries" on banjos!!!
Gerry
Seriously, has no one else seen this yet?
NancyGormezano
Alas, I have turned into a cheap Netflix Ho'. But this one I might spring for the tickets - it has my interest, looks fun.
HomeSlice
I saw it. I liked it. It was a good movie. The effects, especially the sand and water, caught my attention. Another thing that caught my attention is that the animation was a lot different than the animation in a Pixar or Dreamworks movie. Not better or worse, just different. I hope to see more spaghetti western style animated movies.
Darkwing
I intend to see this when I get my day off, however after spending all week at the theatre, I am a little disinclined to not go to watch a movie so soon
NancyGormezano
Loved it! great humor, great character design, great sets, terrific, beautifully composited cinematography, imagery, color, texture, effects, good story, goood acting. A standout winner for me. $31 for 2 to see a movie (including popcorn)? uh...that's 2-4 months of Netflix viewing. But can't beat the big screen. Next time I'm bringing my own popcorn.
