Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted March 6, 2011 Hash Fellow Share Posted March 6, 2011 When you render to an image sequence A:M creates a .sinfo file to somehow connect sound that was in the chor with the image sequence. How do i get that to work when I import an image sequence back into A:M?
Admin Rodney Posted March 6, 2011 Admin Share Posted March 6, 2011 I thought the .sinfo files were a part of SVN. Didn't know it had anything to do with sound sync. If what you state is the case that'd be useful information.
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted March 6, 2011 Author Hash Fellow Share Posted March 6, 2011 here's what is in one. It's all sound sync information. I thought this had something to do with NLE projects in the chor, where you could use image sequences and retain their sound element. Perhaps that didn't get fully implemented? ProductVersion=15 Range=3:1.1125 37:1.1125 Sound=../Cairo.wav Crop=0 30:28.3076 Range=3:22.2250 34:21.826 Sound=../Cairo_orchestrated.wav Crop=3:15 40:6 Range=5:11.1125 42:2.1125
Admin Rodney Posted March 6, 2011 Admin Share Posted March 6, 2011 I learned something new today! Perhaps A:M automatically uses it to sync the sound? A:M has to keep track of those changes in some way. Try replacing the .sinfo file with two different settings and opening twice to see if there is a difference. I can't detect that the .sinfo file is ever loaded by A:M and there's no way to manually load it. I suppose this is in a tech talk somewhere. HomeSlice
I watched Martin playing with A:M's NLE a few times when we were trying to get TWO rendered and edited. He just imported the image sequence, imported the audio file, dragged the the image sequence into a new Chor and the audio was automatically linked to it. He never actually imported the .sinfo file. Thanks Holmes. Robert, This is what I meant by changing the settings of the .sinfo file and opening it twice in A:M. The results should be that the sound will sync in different places each time. That I've already tried but couldn't detect any linking happening.
HomeSlice
I'm pretty sure I remember a Tech Talk on the NLE, but when I went to the tutorials section to look for it, I had no idea where to start. Where do you look if you want to find a tech talk on "NLE" ?
HomeSlice
Never mind. I found the Tech Talks section. I guess there isn't one on the NLE.....
