Tralfaz Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Hey folks, I have been truly inspired by Mark's ocean rig, and Eric's Nautilus using the rig. So, thought I would give this a try as well. I've started modeling this submarine to use with the ocean rig and hope to have something that looks 1/10 as good as Eric's. Anyone able to guess which submarine this is? Al Quote
HomeSlice Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Ummmm ... Das Love Boot? http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Das_Love_Boot Quote

Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted March 1, 2010 Hash Fellow Posted March 1, 2010 That's a submarine made for splining. You're doing pretty well if you captured it in just the "sail" Quote
TheSpleen Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 This is great! I am tossing an Ark in so lotta subs/boats! Ocean rig getting a workout lol Quote
Darkwing Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I love that sub, the one from Seaquest DSV was kind of cool, though very 90s looking Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted March 1, 2010 Hash Fellow Posted March 1, 2010 A friend of mine had the bathtub model of that, but it was yellow submarine yellow, not gray. Hey, VTTBOTS is on Hulu. I'm watching the first episode now. Quote

Yup! That sounds like an Irwin Allen production! The big mossy monsters, space creatures and time travel don't come in until later though.... Al Quote
Darkwing Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 my favourite Irwin Allen show is The Time Tunnel, that was really good, it wasn't really a goofy show and was quite captivating. They were going to do a remake of it back in 2007, but it never got off the ground. Quote
