bighop Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 Hey, I want to do a room with an even lighting, almost like fluorescent lights, what would the best method be? Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted April 24, 2009 Hash Fellow Posted April 24, 2009 "Radiosity" is probably the most accurate scheme, although it is very time-intensive to render. note the tutorials and examples in that archived forum. Image based lighting with a high-dynamic-range image with the light source in it might work also. you can get close to the effect of a flourescent light by making an array of point lights: http://www.brilliantisland.com/am/crawl.mov (they're in a single row in this example) Quote
Fuchur Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 The question is what you really mean.. really "even" lightening would be possible with the ambiance-attribute, but it is very likely not what you are looking for. Ambient Occlusion, Radiosity and a Light-Bulb may be options for you. All can create very nice lightening. The easiest way is using AO. For a short info on the techniques have a look at this: Info on Renderingtechniques These explainations are a little old and some may not be totally correct, but they give you a first impression what is what. *Fuchur* Quote
bighop Posted April 24, 2009 Author Posted April 24, 2009 Thanks for the links and ideas. I have some reading to do. What I ment by even, is like a classroom, or office type lighting. Quote
