Master chief Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 ok i have a circle for the mos part and i wat to attack a few lines to it only problem is that every time i do it warps is there a way to fix this Quote
Eric2575 Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 Before attaching anything to the circle, make a copy of it and then lock the copy. Now attach the lines to the original without worrying about the warping. Once you've finished attaching your lines, you can use the locked copy of the circle as a guide for tweaking the warped circle. You will need to tweak the bias handles of the warped circle to match the locked circle. I hope I'm making sense. Once you get the hang of this method, it will become second nature. Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted May 25, 2008 Hash Fellow Posted May 25, 2008 Are you trying to add a CP where there wasn't a CP in the circle? Look up "Stitch" in the help file To insert a new spline into existing geometry, called “stitching”, click the Add button and click on the splines where you want the new control points inserted. To maintain the existing splines’ curvature, keep the key on the keyboard pressed while clicking. Quote

Eric2575 Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 Wow, I didn't know about shift click not warping existing splines. I've been working with AM for a few years now and am still just scratching the surface. Thanks for the tip Quote
