paradymx Posted May 8, 2008 Share Posted May 8, 2008 Uv editor might be your best bet. A quick run through: (cant find a link) Decal a blank image over the t shirt splines. Under the decal, now right click edit. Move the splines so that they don't over lap Here I usually do a screen copy and take that image into Photoshop make a new layer,Paint on your texture as it should be positioned Take out the spline layer and save In AM under decals and images right click add image and choose the prior saved It might need some minor tweeking but this is the general method. Fuchur Posted May 8, 2008 Share Posted May 8, 2008 If the decals of the shirt are of a more or less equal size, you can try to use a Patch-Image for it. To do that, just go to the group in the PWS, rightclick on the shirt-group and choose "Add Image". This is a very fast way for titled maps. You could although try to use BitMapPlus for such a task, which is a material-typ. You can find it by doubleclicking on the MAterials-Folder, Going to the new material and rightclicking on the attribue. Choose "Change Type To" -> "Plugin" -> "Kci-Group" -> "BitMapPlus". The most flexible choice will however be a real decal like paradymx told you. A little tip so: You can use an Action-Window to unwrap your model with the flattening-command (see manual) or by hand. *Fuchur* Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You could try Colin's Head texturing Jim Talbot's head decalling video tutorials Rusty's skin layering All of which are excellent, but I did not understand the simplicity until I saw Will Sutton's video tutorial on the A:M 2006 Siggraph disk As a checklist, paradymx's list is good.
