AMkyle Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 IF any of you know very well im not quite sure how to model a cube. usually all i get is a square tunnel that has 2 sides open. Im not quite sure how to atch it and im not sure what a few of the modeling tools are and do. If any of you can help me then that'd be great, thanks. Quote

Dhar Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 For a simple cube, you can either use the one that's in the Library, or draw a spline (2 CPs), choose the line then extrude to desired dimensions. Choose the 4 CPs and extrude again. Quote
phatso Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 That would be simplest. But first decide whether you want a theoretical cube (sharp edges) or a real one (beveled edges). Most real things don't have perfectly defined edges, they have bevels. Importing the cube from the library is a lot easier than making a new beveled cube. The library one has big bevels, you can group-select and modify to shrink them. Quote
