Zzzippo Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 Hi Rodney and all, I sat down this morning ready to work on Exercise 8. When I tried to d/l the video I got a page-not-found error. So I said ok maybe its just that one tute......tried to randomly d/l other tutes........apparently the links are all broken, or the server hosting them is down. I'm kinda bummed ;(. Hopefully they will be back up the next time I can make time to use A:M ~Zzzippo~ Quote
jpappas Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 When you get the page not found error, edit the website to look like this: http://www.hash.com/ftp/VM/EX8CustomCar/ Notice I just changed the s1.hashmirror part to just www.hash.com. I think this was when they were changing servers. -Jim Quote
Zzzippo Posted October 31, 2007 Author Posted October 31, 2007 Thanks that works......but how are you going to fix all the links in forums and website w/o going nuts? BTW new website is hard to navigate....is the old "blue" website still available? there's just things like links to the FTP and updates that either dont exist or are hard to find on "yeti themed" site Also just noticed site does not format correctly for Firefox it used to ....at least a couple weeks ago.... http://i1.tinypic.com/4y79eli.jpg Quote

Admin Rodney Posted December 3, 2007 Admin Posted December 3, 2007 If you find any more tutorial links broken in the forum please report them and I'll get them fixed. As far as I know they've all been repaired. Quote
Jeetman Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 If you find any more tutorial links broken in the forum please report them and I'll get them fixed. As far as I know they've all been repaired. In my last shot I had to animate Tin Woodman's crown to roll across the floor. I wasn't quite sure how to do this so I did a search on the forum for wheel rotation. Some threads came up that referenced a link to a wheel rig (which I never found) and ones that you and Dhar posted. Neither of the links worked. Here they are: http://www.hash.com/vm/ http://www.s1.hashmirror.com/ftp/VM/walk_w...walk_wheel.html fortunately after over an hour of looking I did finally get the answer I neeeded to get the crown to roll (check out the latest thread I posted in 2_01_57 to see it).
