Pengy Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 hello all i used the dup wiz to make a length of rope, this worked fine. but i've hit a wall i need to make a circular length for a knot and i can't seem to figure it out.any help would be appreciated. Quote
Eric2575 Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 How about putting a length of bones in the part of the rope you want to knot? Once you assigned the bones, create a new action or pose and make the knot. I did that with some chain and had no problems. Quote
Fuchur Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 You should use the Sweeper-Plugin instead of the Duplicator-Plugin for this... it is integrated in A:M since v13 if I am not wrong. But the bone-solution is very good too... more flexible... *Fuchur* Quote
Admin Rodney Posted September 15, 2007 Admin Posted September 15, 2007 I agree with Fuchur here. Sweeper is what you are after. The Duplicator Wizard is great for instances where you can plot trajectories via pitch, roll etc. Sweeper can be used to do the same thing but follow along a spline path of your choosing. If you already have the rope Eric's suggestion is a great one. This would allow you to animate it too if that is ever needed. Quote
Pengy Posted September 16, 2007 Author Posted September 16, 2007 thank you for the replies guys. Quote
