Grouping spline ring shortcut?

I read that you can select one control point and edit>inverse selection will select just that spline ring... anyways, I can't get it to work... is it supposed to? thanks.

hit the comma key to select the whole spline.

Inverse selects all the cps that aren't selected (inverted). Pressing the comma (,) key will select the spline loop if you have a spline (note: not just a cp) selected.

And one of the most useful shortcuts for me is the group-connect-shortcut ( / )...

It will select everything connected to the cp / spline you selected.
