Hello - is it possible to have the forearm bone rotate backward using the 2001 rig? - or can it only go forwards? Kind of an odd question, but I am working on a Teddy Bear project, and I need him to be able to reach around his back and open a zipper? Thanks - Eric

You shouldn't need to rotate the forearm backward to reach round the back.....humans can't bend their elbow backwards but they can still reach round to their backs. So, you just need to rotate the upper arm to do it. Unless you're meaning something different.

Hi Ken - makes sense, but the bear has no hands and his arms aren't that long, so kind of like a real Teddy bear my idea was to have the whole arm kind of wrap behind his body - and it would be real easy if the forarm would bend that way. I am looking at the "left forearm" manipulator options and it says "on" with the allow "x, y and z" rotate, but I am guessing you can't indicate how many degrees? Is there any other way to increase the rotation that you know of? Thanks - Eric.

If you turn off the limitors (in the bone properties?) then you can rotate them any way you want. With them ON, then it's probably only limited to positive x rotation.

Thanks for your replies - I have the limitors turned off for both forearm - the Right Forearm is bending back, but not the left for some reason - I can just use the one arm, so that will work great. Thanks
