candimeg
Hi, I just finished assignment 7 and wanted to practice with other models. I've downloaded and installed different .wav files and the one and only time I could get the .wav file to "attach" to the model I couldn't get the mouth to move. All other times I've tried to attach the files A:M immediately freezes and I have to reboot my system. If anyone has any ideas I sure could use the help. Thanks, Robin

Thanks, Robin You're using a terminology that I'm unfamiliar with. How do you "attach" a wav file to a "model"? You import sound files (.wav extension) into your Sound folder that's in your Project Work Space (PWS). You then drag and drop that file in your Chor. or Action window. Sorry, that's what I meant to say - when you click and drag the sound file over to the model after you create a new action it automatically freezes the program. Pengy
maybe the files are too big?why not compare the file you were able to open with one that isn't,check the properties and you might find the problem there. as far as the mouth not moving check this thread http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=26296
Bruce Del Porte
What other model? If the model doesn't already have the phonemes set up as poses, you will have to add them to get the dope sheet to work. Most of the models on the CDs are not set up for dope sheet lip sync. Sixteen bit wavs should work fine, can you post it and we can take a look at it.
Dhar
- when you click and drag the sound file over to the model after you create a new action it automatically freezes the program. Instead of dragging the sound over the model, try dragging it down into the Action folder in the PWS.

Admin Rodney Posted January 28, 2007 Admin Share Posted January 28, 2007 Nice Robin! and I'm not just talking about the addition of sound. You've got some nice facial animation going. Fix the white/eye protruding artifact above the eye... give him a gun (or other inspired prop) and that's just about perfect.
Dhar
That was way cool. Those eyes looked more serious than Clint's in that cene Dirty Harry was it?
