KenH
Looks good. But why didn't you continue to post in the previous thread? What sort of lighting do you want?
Admin Rodney Posted September 6, 2006 Admin Share Posted September 6, 2006 (Yup. You should keep posting in the same WIP... people will get lost otherwise) You know, I just cant seem to achieve the "Lighting" that I want? Its a technique that not all people like but by adding lights to the Model itself you can add some nice location specific lighting on your model. The Lights will be treated as Bones in your model and they are created at the 0,0,0 position so once created you'll want to go in and move them. Another good technique to test your lighting would be to open a second window and watch the effect of the light in one window while you adjust the location in the other. Rodney, do you mean to say that while in the modeling window, you can add a light? I was modeling a lamp for a room, and tried to add a light in the model itslef, but it didn't show up. Of course, I'm sure I did something incorrectly... Could you elucidate here as to how to accomplish this?
Ilidrake
To add a light to a model simply right-click in the PWS and choose New Light. Drag that light into your models workspace. Swap to bones mode and your light will be there like a bone.
