jamagica
Ok....here's a new little model I'm making: the unhatched egg... After seeing this WIP you'll get the picture that I'm into simple characters, but mechanical ones.... After this I'll be adding feet, more detail on the "cage" and add some lights that are shining on him at all times (to incubate him)... this is going to be an interesting model
.:shortdog:.
You really are into mechanical modeling, huh? Well, anyways, it looks great so far...interested to see the whole thing...
Dearmad
Nice overall shape. An interesting little... device? One thought- if I were making that, and the egg is going to do anything, I would probably make the egg seperate from the machine part... jamagica
Dearmad, The egg will move with legs I am making right now... but you just gave me an idea. I'm going to somehow create a device where the egg itself can hop out
jamagica
leggies!!
Mr. Jaqe
Ipressive! However, I'd like to take a closer loog at the "leggies", the picture is too small/too pixelated for me to see the feet clearly. Love the "eggholder"-thingy. Keep up the good work! jamagica
jaque, I'll get a shot of the legs after this one: I added the arm with the lamp..still have to add detail to the lamp part you'll also see I gave the eggy a visor
jamagica
Closeup on the leggy
jamagica
Whoo hoo..all three of the lamps! I had to take off the top "bar" of the forearm so that the lamp wouldn't be limited to where it would go
luckbat
Would you consider doing a "mechanical modeling" tutorial? It's something a lot of Hashers struggle with, and I think your techniques would be very well received.
jamagica
wow! Maybe...but I must warn you...I cheat on many for many of my methods...for example...I don't bevel small objects that are little details not meant to be focused on... yeah...I'll try to make one. jamagica
Ok...so the guy's got lamps..but how does he pick things up? Here's a very very very basic sketch of an idea...basically two arms would be in the front as drawn in red... good idea?
