Korken Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 Hi all! I'm modeling a Mantiou Swinger 6-Way Rear Shock that is begining to look rather good. The decal on the oilcylinder is comming from the manufacturer. I'd like some comments for improvments. It is a Mountain Bike Rear Shock for Downhill purpose. 3DArtZ Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 It looks pretty accurate to the picture on the website. I think it would look more realistic if you put some textures on it. They go a long way. Mike Fitz www.3dartz.com Quote
thejobe Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 that is true ive made some crappy models but added some nice textures and boom its awsome looking jay Quote
Nosferatu Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 Your specular highlights on the black look a little soft compared to the pic on the site. This makes the black parts look more rubbery than they should. Looks pretty good, otherwise. Quote
Korken Posted July 27, 2005 Author Posted July 27, 2005 Ok, I'll try to change all this but what sort of textures? (bad at engish ) And the black specular, it is at 100% Intensity. But I will pull it up some more. //Korken Quote

Korken Posted July 27, 2005 Author Posted July 27, 2005 Hi all! Mow I've made some major adjustments. Crits plz. //Korken Quote
luckbat Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 Just so you know, setting the Specular Size value smaller is what makes objects look "harder." Raising the Specular Intensity just makes it look more reflective. Quote
3DArtZ Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 Ok! //Korken I think it's looking good. The specular size doesn't have to be as black and white as smaller means harder looking surface, as a lot of these items have a matte type finish on them that produces a larger specular area. Korken Posted July 27, 2005 Author Posted July 27, 2005 Hi! I've animated the Shock now but I don't have any place to put it. Does anyone know where I can put is= And it is small only 1,98Mb. //Korken Quote
