ZachBG Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 Howdy. I took some mocap data I got from a reputable source and put Shaggy on it. And Shaggy said to me, "Zach, man, I love this motion and all, but GEEZ is it COLD in this computer!" So I gave him a shirt. I think it turned out nice--there are some penetration issues at this point toward the end, and it fails completely when Shaggy actually penetrates himself and leaves the cloth with nowhere to go. More experimentation is in order. Next up--PANTS! ShaggiZachTwo.mov Quote
ZachBG Posted May 1, 2005 Author Posted May 1, 2005 Here's a screen grab which shows the settings. Everything's default except the collision tolerance, the sub-steps, and the solver precision. Quote
Dearmad Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 Looks neat. I can't wait to get my hands on cloth, dynamic constraints, and hair... keep playing and posting, in the mean time. BTW: What would mocap data look like from an unreputable place? Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted May 1, 2005 Hash Fellow Posted May 1, 2005 That looks good. Is there a way to make the cloth heavier or less lively? Quote
ZachBG Posted May 1, 2005 Author Posted May 1, 2005 There's all sorts of settings which I haven't played with yet. I expect upping the Friction could do that. Maybe Particle Mass? Stiffness? Quote
Mr. Jaqe Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 HAHA! Super dance! Needs more stiffness, though and maybe a little bit higher coalission radius or whatever it's called. But good job covering Shaggy up. Quote
johnl3d Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 If you turn up the number of sub steps you'l won't get the breakthrough you got at the end also if you turn off self collide the shirt moves better. Quote
