Model Status

I still have copies of these models from the 2000/2001 production days. Do these models have the same status as Keekat (since Paw Island seemed to stop production) or should I have deleted them?

Good question. Probably you can do anything you want with them short of using them in a paying production. Modify them a little and you can even do that.

 

Note however that Hash did not get permission from Paw Island before distributing the Keekat model and that ended up causing a bit of trouble later.

Holy Cow! Those are really neat models. I had no idea they were still around... didn't really think about it. You could always mail them to me and *I* could dispose of them.

I still have the production Keekat which appears to be significantly better (rig, pose and material wise) than the Hash CD version.

 

Were/are there any issues I should be aware of before using it?

Copyright issues? Legally speaking, you should not use KeeKat in any commercial production. It's OK however for personal work.

 

Technical? It should work fine, though we have not tested this character in its original form since September 2000.

Thanks Steve. I've found the original Keekat model behaves properly in v11 whereas the CD version has joint rotation problems (not to mention lacks a whole lot of facial poses etc as well)
