  1. V16 beta 3 64bit

    5:03

    Intel Core2 Duo E6750

    2.67 GHz

    2 core

    4 GB RAM

    Windows 7 64bit...

this 64bit version is pretty fast ..... thank you Hash Team .... you are doing a great job there

That time is remarkable. I think that is the best time yet for the am bench test.

  2. lol woops.

One of the things I asked for was

    6. All submitted renders must have the creators email address branded in the lower right hand corner in black Arial text.

I wanted you guys to do this so there was no mix up with who modeled what. And I didnt know if I would be swamped with submissions so I wanted a way to contact the winners.

    No biggie.

Great work so far guys. I wish we could get one more person to make it interesting.

  3. Update: Please see the updated deadlines at top of the thread. I have made extensions. Both of the Hashers who entered in this contest graciously wanted their winnings to be donated to a charity that gives food to people who need it.

I have decided to match the winnings and also donate. This means you can win money for your self and also have my match donated or you can donate your winnings as well.

We still have not decided the charity yet. The donations will be transparent and documented. I will post the proof of donation on the site. Hopefully the charity we go with will have some sort of receipt or reference #

So far we have a total of $78.00 being donated. I will announce winners for the next few contests this Sunday. Lets try to break $200.00

  4. Ken Citron won these contests for both first and 2nd place. No one else entered the contest, easy money.

    6. Generic sunglasses, / 8-19-10 / $8,$4

    7. Generic wallet, get creative / 8-21-10 / $10, $5

There are still a bunch more contestes if you look above in the beginning of the thread. Ken has asked to have his winnings donated. These contests could be a good opportunity to test the new V16 beta.

As I noted the contests models are all donated to the community. Thanks again Ken for being literally the only Hasher interested in this contest. Not only did you single handedly help me, you are donating your winnings to food for the poor and your models are donated to the community. My hat is off to you.

  5. Ok folks well I have received some great looking submissions for some of the contests with deadlines in the next weeks contest. I have not however received any submissions for the first two contests

    Assorted cash / 08-10-10 / $5, $2

    and

    Bamboo / 08-11-10 / $12,$4.

Can you believe it? If just one modeler had submitted a single spline for both of these contests they would have won a total of $23.00

talk about easy money. O well I will just have to do those models myself.

These are the next two contests coming up and I have yet to receive submissions for these.

    3. Generic gym membership id / 8-13-10 / $5, $2

    4. Generic drivers license / 8-15-10 / $5, $2

Remember to email the submissions to jason(AT)jasonhampton.us

    replace the (AT) with @.

If you dont get a reply from me I didn't get the email so contact me on this thread if there is an issue.

  6. Tomorrow by midnight is the cut off for the first contest. I have yet to receive one entry so literally anyone could win. But you cant win if you dont play. Maybe an extrude is too easy lol.

    1. Bamboo / 08-11-10 / $12,$4

    email the submissions to jason(at)jasonhampton.us

    replace the (at) with @.

  7. Ahh thats cool.

You mentioned you want bright led's etc, how about for model consistency have some basic materials available so that there isn't 20-30 versions red led mat, 50 versions aluminum mats and 50334 versions of black plastic.

If someone wants to post materials on this thread to help speed things up thats ok with me.

I personally like variety. I think having everyone try it differently sparks inovation.

  8. Are these models for resale, project for you or some sort of collection?

    Not for resale.

For my persanal poject and a friends project.

We got some cash together to try and save time

All models will be donated to the entire hash community.

We have little money but I don't want to ask for free help. So I thought this would be fun.

  9. It seems like a contest would, in theory, have people modeling redundant articles for 'chance' to win a fraction of the value of their work... Why not just offer the amount for anyone willing to model it?

Anzovin Studios had a modeling contest, to create some models for their Set-up Machine plug-in. The winners got bragging rights + a copy of the ENTIRE Anzovin library of training materials!!! Now THAT was worth entering! [Here is what I did to win the 'squid' category:]

I thought some people might feel that way. I honestly feel there are so many models and so few people on the forum that most people who enter the contest will win multiple cash prizes.

I think it works out more in your favor if I do it this way. For example: If I paid some one 15 dollars for a model and it was not what I asked for because the modeler was new to AM, I would not want to pay for it or I might ask them to keep at it costing them more time and effort. In this case it is a contest so any effort no matter how bad or good has a chance to win.

I hope I dont get poor quality submissions but lets say some one just made something as simple as a box with a decal on it and no one else submitted for that models contest. Well I would not be able to use the model because it was so poorly made but I would honer the the prize and that modeler would win both first and 2nd place.

So like I said I think this works better for you. May the best efforts win!

  10. Email submissions to jason(at)jasonhampton.us

The goal of the models below this line in addition to photo real, is a high gloss look when applicable but most importantly I need to show off the Lights, aka LED's. So please make them obnoxiously bright and visible. I am trying to show off how annoying the LED's are on these electronics. But try to avoid putting a plethora of LED's because the electronics need to be believable.

Look around your house. I bet you can find a hand full of electronics with irritating LED's. Now you can express that Irritation by modeling them and getting paid.

    27. Generic !!!!!anything you want no contest for this I will pay $2.00 per model so long as it meats the criteria of having a bright LED and be something that late at night when the lights are low the LED on this object might annoy you. try to make it something that might be turned on at night in a house or office./ submit anytime / $2

    Ok Folks

Heres the deal. There are 25 different contests here and 50 prizes. I honestly feel that because the community is so small every one has not only a chance to win a prise, they can win multiple prizes. I recommend everyone try to submit on as many models as they can. Knowing how small the community is there could be a situation where not one person submitted for a particular models contest. If by chance only one person submits for a particular model they will win both first and second place prizes.

Yes I will be using these submissions for my personal work but they will also be made available to the entire community.

I will judge and announce submissions every Sunday and email the winners for their address to send a check that day.

If this were a real paying job I could never afford you. I also dont want anything for free. So I thought I would try this. I think it will be fun, we have not had a bunch of easy contests in a while.
