  1. Wow thank you so much Jost, Gerald and Robert.

I really appreciate the offers and results.

Its amazing that I could feel like im in a jam and the next day when I log into the forum all my fears are set aside.

If any of you ever need help let me know. I would like to return the favor.

  2. Anyone have a 3D heart model they could donate. My attempts are not smooth.

I have attached a shape for roto.

and a reference someone made in another package.

  3. ooops... yeah- I see. That can't go away. You can always render without simulating, but- sometimes you gotta simulate! To imitate this error without DLing Jason's project... open-up any boned model or character in your chor... select a bone and apply a dynamic-constraint to it- at this point, you used to be able to run a simulation of all the springs in the scene to see how they would 'spring' once rendered. There was always an issue too, that a simulation seemed to get different results than a straight-out render... but the simulation gave you keyframes for all the axis affected, which you could modify/edit to get more or less effect. A great feature. I seem to remember it working in V17, no? I'll check. This may need a report. EDIT- yes, broken in V17. I can't believe I havent noticed this!

EDIT EDIT: I think it is now called 'Bake Dynamic Systems' which is the next choice down on the list... seems to do the same thing. Perhaps the 'Simulate Spring Systems' menu option simply needs be removed programmatically. I would from time to time refer to it as SSS- which has come to mean something else altogether.

The dynamics will not render at all for me even on simple tests.

please view the video. This is a very powerful useful feature of am and it is broken now

  4. Game Changer.

Easily creates a fillet and joins objects in seconds vs Minutes or hours for us.

How can we implement something like this as a plugin for AM or export a model from Modo and import it into AM as splines is that possible?

I personally think we should ask Stephen how much money it would take for him to make a plugin that can this.

Then we pool our money together to get it.

  5. Hey David, I tried combining them, but couldn't get it to work. I guess I will wait until the final image to see how will final render it :).

Jason, thanks alot. It really means something to hear that. Since my tries at tutorials went awry, I will look at my models and see what I can do.

Some of my models were never finished (alien). Others, only good from one angle (little connor). Others are available now -- I think. My Oz models and J.D. Model. I also had a whole collection of them I donated to the cd, but they got lost in the shuffle and never made it. I also lost alot of my stuff when my old pc went down. I'll take a look and see what I can do though.

Thanks so much. When you say some are avail now , where?

  6. You make AM look so good.

My hat is off to you.

You have made some incredible models over the years. You excel at having a greta presentation meaning you dont just model you add materials and textures and surface settings that complete the high dollar look. We don't have to imagine the potential its right there.

Any chance you can contribute some of the models you have made over the years for study. I remember a spider man 2nd to none and an alien showing the power of AM's SSS abilities and your avatar the Antichrist all are masterpieces.

I bet if you posted them some people would use them in animations which would complete bringing them to life.
