  1. The longer .swf: the_tada_1_orginal_Broadband.zip the_tada_1_orginal_Broadband.zip
  2. The TADA original in A:M Sorensen codexed - a .mov-file about 4.4 Mbyte Squeezed to a new .mov-file gave me 810 kbytes and I could upload 22 seconds video with sound! You can look and listen to it in the previous post. Experimenting with exporting to .swf - the Flash format. Here a short bit of the TADA 7 seconds - 632 kbytes - first imported video from A:M to Flash - the sound was not imported - then imported the sound to a new layer in Flash - and exported - the_tada_short.zip Next post - experiment with Squeeze from Sorensen - imported the whole TADA video about 22 seconds and exported - it gave me 742 kbytes - swf.file!!! Result in: the_tada_1_orginal_Broadband.zip the_tada_short.zip
  3. Now on show: THE TADA the_tada_1.mov
  4. Making WMDs? Searching WMDs? Lying about WMDs? Using WMDs? How to tackle the world? in a MAD - Mutal Assured Destruction - world! Conflicting Solving Laughing - CSL - is perhaps the way? Trying to be - Seriously funny? Funnieously serious? - in a show case - THE BIGGIEST... the_biggiest_1.mov
  5. Thanks! The smoke with skylightning.
  6. Smoke is funny! Here a little more smoke.

Nice yes... very good modeling and animating. But I think... The grass a bit stiff does not move - not influenced of the ROV. Lot of planktons in the water! too much? You are looking on the planktons - not the ROV.
  8. Have you got some good tutorial on steam and smoke and fire? I have been trying to follow this tutorial on animated writing with an emitter attached to a group: http://www.mossor.org/Desktop/Tutorials/Sp...rite/index.html but I cannot get the group to turn up in the Choreography??? There is this heavy tutorial on particles - only 170 Megabytes... and never ending.... ftp://ftp.hashmirror.com/pub/misc/sprites_tute/ But here is some smoke... not much...
  9. The chimney has come. Somethings are still lacking! What have I missed? Here a little more steamengined image. Now with skylights and a Volumetric Klieg. Tried to map an image to the skydome... but it did not glue... So I had to cheat a bit.
  10. A steam engine getting it to work first: http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=14061 now in progress.

You did it! with a little help of aaver... aaver is really good on rigging... but he is good on so many things... and you are so good on modeling... and now on rigging.... Why not make a WINK tutorial with some screen captures of your nice model to upload to the Software Tutorial Forum so your work will be DOCUMENTED and the members can get some help doing some rigging after the summer 2005. Now this superb rigging will be hard to find after some weeks. DOCUMENTING the good things with a little WINKing that is what I believe is the really good thing with the new forum. So please... you will do it an hour or an hour and a half! Hope aaver can do a WINK on Materials... some nice steel... some good rust? But I hope you will do it on the ROV!
  12. Thanks Rodney and Martin for the new Software Tutorial Forum!

Are you using both the hydraulic cylinders in the first arm - rigging them both - or just one of them - like aaver showed? To me it looks like you are using one of them... perhaps you can upload the .prj-file?
  14. I can see this is an ad for SPUTNIK TRAVELS... they have got their KOSMONAUT dresses on I can see. But which planet have they landed on? No marsians to see, so it must be some other planet. Perhaps Tellus? Tell us, please!
  15. Here is the stick really fat... the hat is there to see... and the stars telling you he is part of an organization... Animation is about exaggeration... like in your dreams... mixed with ingredients from your daily experiences... The nightstick as both body and head there will be some Freudian misunderstandings Why not use the nightstick as the head... on a body? something like a coffee cup man? And it will be easier to tell the story... more believeable.... more reality... but still exaggeration... still dreams... nightmares... The clothes make the man. Change clothes - and the thief becomes a cop and the cop a thief No clothes - no man - someone in Eden - just an animal - not having a disguise to tell the positon - the identity from knowledge - from words - in a social structure - role play - with hard limits - animations playing with this - like the child telling - the king is naked - so a naked cop - just a nightstick - that is drastic humor - but there have to be clothes in the beginning or some tailors sewing some non-existing clothes to the cop - trying to do a thief without clothes - a gold ingot? two prison bars? a pair of sunglasses to hide behind? Perhaps what to do is to model the opposites in the same time and you will understand better what you want - having to opposites to play with they - the models - will influence each other - making more or less contrast - more or less unification.
  16. Really good work! But what is it about - not understanding the conversation - bag sex? Do people want to be portrayed like this - just wondering... Perhaps people are not only interested of themselves?
  17. KenH - one more WINK tutorial and this is really a good one! explaining things I never had figured out where to find some help on... Action Transitions! http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showt...ndpost&p=100107
  18. KenH, I saw your new Flash tutorial - not many bytes do download - just 150 kB to learn something - many has had questions about - me too - stopping a character following the path for some frames. Here it is: http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showt...indpost&p=99606
  19. Yes, just download and install WINK. Start it and have a look on WINKS menu: Help > View Tutorial Project 1
  20. Glad for your reply! To learn WINK is really easy! After starting WINK have a look under Help > View Tutorial Project 1 Takes you ten minutes and you can do something giving us a little of all your knowledge about A:M. And I have seen your WINK tutorial - very good - learnt a lot from it. Or have a look on this "tutorial image" telling you all you have to know about WINK. http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?act=A...e=post&id=99372 A tutorial on rigging I believe would be popular: http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=13854 Or perhaps just on rigging hands!
  21. You are tellling us this about yourself: Birthday 11 January 1972 The trip - was it in your previous life? You had an opinion - that I like! To me it was playing with alpha and layers. You are welcome with a little playing yourself - acid or basic - true or false - alpha or not - layers or not - welcome! And here is something more on Layers - perhaps will be interesting you? http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showt...13479&hl=layers
  22. I have made a WINK tutorial in two parts to learn how to make images with an alpha channel in Photoshop and use the images as Decals and Layers in A:M. The tutorials you can find here: http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showt...indpost&p=99972 And you can make your own trips - acid or basic - just up to you!
  23. One more WINK tutorial on images with alpha channel to use as Decals and Layers. The tutorial is in two parts. You will find them here: http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showt...indpost&p=99972
  24. Just having some fun playing with the alpha channel and layers. ball_on_layers.mov
  25. So you feel pity for the Marshmallows? I hope to see some Marshmallow-animation soon! There are carrot-cakes.... http://cake.allrecipes.com/directory/4235.asp But they are as dangerous as Marshmallows I believe. So the alternative is natural carrots!
