  1. sounds like a good workflow to Messiah.

I wonder if your process would work back into A:M instead just as a trial.

Pardon if I understand correctly, but make a obj in Lightwave and then export it out to AM and then rig it and animate it, and then export it to Messiah?

  2. For the smoothest looking model I check normals and export with triangles and at 4 polygon per patch! I also imported it into Lightwave the mdd file and then resave it and reduce the mdd file. The mdd file export contain too much unneeded info. I did not resaved the obj file as that resulted a mess up mesh when imported back to Messiah renderer.

I exported the mdd from choreography 4 poly per patch w/triangle and the model to OBJ file 4 poly per patch from AM:

import mdd to lightwave and resave (not require but a preference)

load the obj and resaved mdd to Messiah, and fix material setting and adjust subsurface scatter setting on skin and render final output

  3. DIGGIN that test... not sure whats-what betwixt A:M Lightwave3D and Houdini,,, but I am DIGGIN the test!

I thought about you! Because of the hair challenge. Messiah has hair particle and I am not sure yet on how to apply hair to a obj file once hair is applied afterward. Create a null to the point on the obj, and then apply a scalp mesh to the null?

Here a few thing I learn today! I can reposition the model to put it anywhere I want, even after applying the MDD file to the object inside Messiah. I was also able to resave the MDD file inside Messiah and a 7 second MDD file went from 800mb to 93mb. I was not able to move the character inside LightWave3d once the MDD file was applied. The only thing I had to do is re-assign the shader material to the model surface area.

  5. I was looking at Anime Studio Pro to add background character. Things that doesn't need to be a 3D model. As someone point out that the main character will stand out if its render out to high detail. It will draw attention to the story of what is happening. Quiton Tarrentino even use toon animation in "Kill Bill" to tell the story of one of the character beginning.

  6. > those who haven't yet purchased still have six hours plus change to go

It depend on your time zone! I would have told you guys earlier, but this forum have this rule of not mentioning competing software.

  7. Seems to me toon animation is either booming or hanging on by a thread. certainly less time consuming to draw all item not moving into the scene. But would also means to render your 3D object to toon to match the drawings. Do extra character in the background need to be in 3D? Can the set be render out once and then be a fix background?

Then you have another boom of doing it in 3D stereo.

My understanding is that we renew all of the tax cut, which include tax break for importing services over seas. Our tax actually go in to rewarding company that take job away from us. Then we also have illegal worker into this country that also compete with our labor cost, and our tax also go toward catching and releasing aliens rather than go after the company that employs them.

I think these things need to be address, but the open connection we have by way of technical advancement has force us to be one with everyone.

  8. I use a brush aluminum material and a bump and adjust it until it look crinkle. I used Phuzh to make the gloves, clothing a little thicker. I was going for the Flash Gorden era!

The hard part about my moms condition is I cant tell my family about my kidney conditions. They have enough on their plate. Some of you already know I only have a partial kidney from the Dec 2004 operation.

  9. Thank you all very much, 3 month will fly by really quick. I'll be more dedicated after I catch up with life. For the model, I already have a fantastic voice actress for the main character. Someone who is actually famous who have become my friend. It will be a surprise for now. No budget done for the love of it.

I have trouble expressing how I feel about watching someone dying. My mom says she lived a good life and no one hate her, and she outlive most of her friend, and her brother died when he was 18 in the war. Her karma is fantastic!

My typing been more off lately, I switch my keyboard to the Dvorak setting, I did this with William Eggington, so he is also learning this. But he bought a great keyboard while I converted mine.

  10. Wow, great model, is she an astronaut?

What do you plan with her?

Maybe you are wrong here and this belongs to the jiggle thread?

Making a space epic adventure with her comedy/sci-fi

    think stripperilla in space!

But honestly right my hands are full, my mom has cancer and the doc says she has 3 more month. That's why I haven't been around much.

On this model I also set up a slider to make breast spread apart and squeeze together and that can be animated by key. So I can reposition them depending on her position of leaning forward or leaning back.

  11. I think it must be a scaling problem ,I don't have scaled exact enough, but when in a run the calf bone is not staying exactly with the thigh (knee end) properly it moves a bit so I was thinking maybe it needed to be constrained to the nee end and instead of just thigh, that maybe there was a way to use the constraint as a aim at two one to the thigh nee end and the other to the foot, allthough the bvh call the calf the shin. But on looking at it I think it could just be a scaling problem

You could post your model, and have us take a look at your setup, but I am seeing that the bone is not a child of the other bone, like it should be attach. The bone looks quite a bit offset from each other. Could be easy to fix in the model window.
