It has few odd moments but mostly it's on the right track. Is that simcloth or bones animation?

Sounds like you have a vision of what you want to creat which a good foundation for acheiving it. Nice set so far keep working at it and post often it does help keeping you at it I find.

I still think the elbow catching the cape is distracting. Isn't it easier to have the elbow miss the cape?
I have already fixed that it's a lenghy process and once I got it just right I moved the TS from my new chr into this one and lost it all I think the muscle mod fixes I do stay in the chr and do not come over when I move TS from the new chr to this original one? I still have those fixes saves in my new chr if you could tell me how to copy paste that into another chr that would be helpfull.

Now with simcloth Robert get back to me on this then I fix or redo the constraints

Ok for some reason I do not know I could not get the sim cloth to work in my chr so I draged it into a new chr and sim worked after some playing with settings I got what I think is a passible result. I then redraged TS back into my chr and saved and closed AM and reopened it and it has all my constraints intake and now with sim cloth!

Ok trying to get sim cloth to work on these scenes with Tinservant in them so this is the 1st I am having trouble so I thought I would do a test with a blank project to see if that works and it does so now I have to figure out what is different in my scene that AM crashes as soon as I start to simulate cloth?

The dynamic setup no longer works. Someone reassigned the cps to the cape length geom bone, they're not assigned to the dynamic bone anymore, probably for simcloth. Simcloth is you only option at this point.
Thanks I am working on it. I am getting some were at least I got it to work in a blank project now trying to get it to work in my scenes. but for some reason AM crashes as soon as I try to similate in my scene?

It is DONE! I just repointed to the image sequence and retried it and it worked without a hickup so I committed it and lets hope the render farm likes it

Ok I am back at this can anyone tell me how to control tinservent cap I play with dynamic controls no affect I try the cap bones no affect the large "cape_length_geom" bone raises and lowers the entire cap that is the only motion I can get?

Commit your version and I try it at my end maybe there something else I have not committed?
Update your sc66 folder and it will be a chor called 2_01_66softer. The problem may be a difference between V13 and V14?
I think I import the camera into one of mine chr tommorow and test that. I works but we have 2 frames that render out funny

Ok Robert I commit this maybe you want to play with the camera and I set the scene to that maybe. You asked for a quick test to see if this would work so here it is I have the camera pulling back too slowly rending this is 1 1/2 hr with shaded and loading it is a long also if you save it and commit it with just the camera vissible you can work from that. some of the actions are wrong I delete the bad ones and next is making the targas of the 2 handed wave and one handed wave and maybe one still and I think that would work?

You have to make sure the length and thickness of the hair has the same ratio as the image size. Possibly add more cps to the hair guide. Make sure all variations are set to 0% and make sure you don't have kinkiness set anywhere.
Kinkines I am not at my system right now but I remember that being 100% so I should change that to 0%?
The ratio is wrong I just guessed at that so I fix that
I only have one cp in the hair so I play with that too.

Ok seeing that we would like to wrap this up quickly as possible if you do not mind I try this with some help I will post my questions and problems here and everyone can benifit if they want to try something like this.
1st problem I have run into is getting my image to be displayed without distrotion I f tried setting most setting that sound like they would bend or curve the hair to 0%. See screen crab i have a image of back of winike both hands up teh hair is bending or curving the image and croping there hands and legs

Mark, When I update I don't get a recent chor for the newspaper animation. The most recent chor I get in that folder is from 3/27.

John it's time to put is tests into the real movie so I have 2 questions for you.

I have 6 actions created of winkies standing in a crowds I or we can creat targas of these action that are mainly ment to be front view as crowds in different scene. But if rendered from the back thye should work fine. I am currently working on a test right now and I have this committed to SVN so do you have SVN? Do you have skype if so my skype name is PF_Mark if you want to talk directly.

The Demo was not intended as a instructional video so you are going to be missing some hot key strokes. As people get to know the software there are hot keys which are faster then using the pull down windows. So you do not see all the things he is keying in as he is working. So it will be hard for you to find out what he is doing so I really suggest you stick with the manual for your class. As you go through it and pick up some of these time saving hot keys you will find it alot easier to re produce the demo. The demo is real it is really that easy and fast to work in AM but he knows all the tricks and has done this for years!
