Looks like some really smooth deformations! Keep it up!

Pre-requisite would be having A:M tho right? I really like that model... stormtrooper-y! Where is that from?
-
Wow! There is a lot to LOVE in that animation!
-
I have been using the A:M obj exporter successfully from AM into C4D and E3D... it is a lifesaver!
Me too, even full textured....
Really? I am only able to make groups that I then re-shader in the new app... I don't get any of my decals to come thru. I would be interested in your workflow to get textures(decals) from A:M into C4D and E3D... if you could.

Very interesting... I have struggled with drawing lines for years- this is cool!

Wow- great tests Rodney!
Maniac- you own a 'direct to garment' printer? How fun! Which one? I've often thought about getting one- they are pricey at 10-20K... do you have a background in screen-printing?
I know I am asking lots of questions... can it print on a hockey puck? I see a big business in putting team logos on pucks... are you going to set-up an online store?
I've had some ideas regarding combining animation with DTG T-shirts...
PS- love the print quality you are getting in that video! and the guitar...Ry Cooder?

Right? Looks good! It definitely has its place, Fuse...

Glad to see you are up and... tinkering again. Great test!

VERY COOL! I like the way the leaves respect each other in the pile-up without so much 'clatter'... cloth sim seems pretty strong for this- this is how you do your soft-body dynamics too, right? THANKS for the alternate 'behind the scenes' movie- answers some questions.

BOO! Very cool John- I like that one!

I thought there was... but now looking for it I don't see a BVH export option...

John Bigboote
I want this for a Blender importer that applies animation curves (transformed from A:M animation splines) to bones. Mesh deformations are a different story.
With the baking feature being in the state it's in, I might be better off coding a .bvh exporter for A:M.
Have you tried the existing BVH exporter?
-
Have you removed all film grain and post effects from the project, save and restart? Looks like they are still linked somehow.
-
Maybe an obj sequence export- or an MDD export. Both would eliminate all bones and constraints and each frame would be a separate file... I don't know if A:M would import it back in tho... gee- would be great have FBX as an option.
-
Yes- quite sure it can... my dilemma is- because I come from the A:M world, I have a very limited knowledge or ability at getting models in and out of A:M (primarily out) with textures intact... see- I don't even know if I expressing myself correctly...
-
UV's are a SERIOUS blidspot in my 3D abilities... I have been 'spoiled' by the ease of A:M decals. I really need to be able to get a hold on this concept as I am doing more and more A:M to Element3D or C4D workflows... didn't I see another feature in 3DCoat where you could quickly build-up a base shape thru some sort of 'blobbies' (nurbs?) that you could then use as a base to start sculping on?
-
And yet ANOTHER question! I see one of 3D Coats powerfull features is its RETOPO feature... why wouldn't you retopo in 3D coat instead of A:M then? Keeping to 4 and 5 sided poly's as you go...
-
AND- Do you use or recommend 3DCoat Pro or 3DCoat Amateur? 3DCoat Pro is $379 while Amateur is only $99...?
-
Ludo- is that gold image above the obj from 3DCoat or is it the retopo'd A:M model?
-
Thank-You for showing that... the 'on-location' is WAY cool! Is this a permanent museum installation? I like it!

Contests are always great and breath a lot of life into our community and should be exploited to the masses for publicity via social-media. Other ideas? How about a 'RENDERING LOOP' animation contest? Winners get included into the V19 rendering module...?
-
Wow! I came in 33rd place? COOL! Congratulations, Dusan- love the Chicory and Coffee characters and story! WAY TO GO, Arthur! 1st place entry will look great on my V19 splashscreen! We would love to see some of your animations with this character! Great work on the contest, as always- JASON SIMONDS!
