Reset settings had no effect, again this is happening at random times. Sometimes I can work for a while and all is well until it happens again and when it does I have to use the Task Manager to shut down AM. Tried installing v19.5 - no effect. In bones mode in model it turns on the CP weight yellow capsule and that seems to piss it off the worst. Can't enter bones mode without the weights thing coming on. Has not been happening with any other app or desktop GUI so far. Tried creating a sample prj. file with a simpler model and can't seem to replicate the problem. Only happening with the big fat complex prj. file. Will try a different mouse tomorrow and let you know if that helps or not. thanx for responding.

Last 2 weeks have been plagued by strange interface anomalies. Arrow cursor disappearing, can't select CPs, trying to drag material onto group in the project tree just drags (scrolls) entire tree or the whole interface becomes completely unresponsive & have to shut it down with the task manager. This of course is random and is temporarily fixed with a restart but then returns. Just wondering if anyone else has seen these things or is it just my "curse" acting up again? I tried installing 19.5 but problems are still here. Anyone else running into this???? Any help appreciated. Keep clicking on this link for latest AM update but keeps taking me to same page and no download???? What am I doing wrong?

Don't know if anyone wants to look into this but when trying to copy two of these groups (Cap1 & Cap2) by selecting the group in the project list AM crashes, but if you select with a box then they copy with no problem. I had to make 36 of these assemblies for the Wright Bros. flyer one-at-a-time until I tried this work-around. Just FYI TestCap.prj

You continue to be my savior Robcat!! I had made those poses to help with decaling, especially the AngleFrame pose. It was hard to map one side at a time so I stood all those angled struts up vertically in a pose and did a cylindrical projection. But I was under the mistaken notion that you had to keep those pose sliders at 100% to maintain the texture position. And wouldn't ya know it-it was those frame struts that were at odd angles (30-45deg.) that were causing the problem but they were ok just by turning the pose sliders back to zero. I made those "mapping" poses long ago and haven't even given any thought to poses at all until you mentioned it. But when I looked there were 7 or 8 poses that I didn't create at all! Don't you have to make a pose? Can you create them by accident? And they certainly don't make themselves (or DO THEY?!!) Anyway thanks again.

It's happening in the modelling mode and in my chor. but when I saved the model out and imported it into a new prj. the problem vanishes. Yet in the chor. in my main project the problem keeps happening. (See attached) It's hard to see in the picture but it's there. So I'll send you the new test prj. with only the model in it in a PM. This time there are NO poses involved. Attached is the model but it doesn't happen all the time just randomly. Last time the problem was having a pose window open but now it happens with no poses, and it shows up in the render. Please don't send this model anywhere as it's taken a lot of hours to build. Let me know if this happens for you or not. I'm using v19.op [I've temporarily removed the model so it doesn't get sent around - Robert]

Apparently I just imagined this whole thing. I had a group folder named WIRES where I had 2 grps. "Front" and "Back" and they were NOT rendering as lines no matter WHAT I did, but when I copied and pasted the groups into a new model and then pasted them back into the original they just magically rendered correctly and I saved the model out so I could send it to you. Now I cannot reproduce the problem AT ALL as if it never happened. So, thanks robcat! Not sure how you did it but it seems to be fixed. (Honestly, this really happened - I'm NOT making this up)

Sorry. It means that I set all the settings and still it won't render as lines. Am I still not making sense?

Made sure group is NOT a closed patch, select render as lines to ON and set a line width and randomness but NO lines. Once again I need to know where the "idiot" toggle is. Any help appreciated.

AH! the camera bgrnd color of course !! So funny-the manual says you can select a color for the fog and then doesn't tell you how to do it. Thanks robcat.

Ok I get how it works now, it fades things to darkness but still would like to know how to select a color for the fog.

Also the manual mentions picking a color for the fog. where does one do that?

Did that first thing - no effect.

Anyone know how to make the "fog" work?? I've turned it on in the camera render options and set the start and end distance but nothing. Any help appreciated.

Got a 2nd machine which is not on the net, do I download Am installer to a USB and install on it or is it more complicated than that? Any help appreciated.

Currently using v19.op but want to see if there's a newer version I could install but when I try to go to the AM FTP site it wants to open up Edge. Is the FTP site where you get updates? Been so long since I've done that and don't remember. Am I going to the wrong link? Any help appreciated.
