  1. Eureka!!!! I post my solution in the event anyone else has the same problem. I went into MSconfig and removed everything that loaded on startup, rebooted. V. 12 works. Yippee!! I'm going to have to do some tests to see what startup program was causing the problem, but at least I've got it running. Thanks all for your help.
  2. I have been using V. 12 for while with no problems. All of sudden today, the program loads, but immediately crashes almost like it is timed to stop working. I have V. 11.1 and that works fine. I have the Yeti disk. I uninstalled V. 12 completely and then reinstalled -- same thing. As an aside, I tried to install V. 13 about two months ago, but could not get it to work -- it did the exact same thing. Does anyone have any idea what the problem may be? If I hold down shift so nothing loads with the program, it stays up for slightly longer, but will crash if I try to do anything. I'm in the middle of a project that I need to get done, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  3. Very impressive, Ben. Congratulations and keep up the great work.
  4. Beautifully put together, Will. There were some wonderful entries there and it was a real treat to watch (several times). It never ceases to amaze me the talent that all you folks have. Thanks again, Will and all, for doing such a superb job. Regards, Jo (Repeated my post here)
  5. Zaryin -- much thanks. Very generous of you to supply the models. I appreciate you sharing your talent. Best regards, Jo
  6. What a beautiful model and outstanding BVH motion example. I'm always so astounded and delighted with the wonderful talent displayed in these forums. I spend far too much time scouring the forums, but enjoying every minute of it. Thanks for sharing your gift.
  7. I downloaded your model and after several attempts, I did manage to have all four 5-pt patches work. I have found (and this is not very scientific) that if I have several 5-pt patches that need to be "patched," and one patch is not working, switch to a different patch. In other words, if you have 4 five-pt open patches, labeled A, B, C, D and you are unable to patch "A," then move on to "B", etc. until you have success. Then with the remaining ones, keep switching off until you get another one to patch correctly. It has worked for me. You still may have to try several times, but did get all the patches to work. If you want, I can send you the bridge2 model that eventually patched. I was glad to be able to test my theory on someone else's model. As I said, it's not very scientific, but it seems to work for me. Good luck with your cello -- I used to play in a cello in high school, so I'm looking forward to seeing your completed work.
