  1. Wow I havent posted here in a while. anywho-

Yea, i soo wish i owned this car. Then again, I soo wish i owned a license  . but anyways. umm, I've been modeling this off and on for the past 3 days or so, I figured id post it for comments or any suggestions on modeling and such. I still consider myself an amateur, but whatever. Its the 2007 XK Jaguar. I'll try to keep updating it as regularly as I can, but in the meantime here's what Ive got so far.

The actual car can be found here:

  2. The top jaw just looks like you need to spread out the splines a bit. With the bottom jaw, just do what you did for the top jaw, don't have splines that just end to make a 4 point patch. Have them continue all the way around. Get it? If not, when I get back home I can show you a picture of what I mean. Cool. Hope that helps. By the way, thats an awesome model you've got going. Keep up the good work.

  3. That's cool! I like him! Its a really good original take on the tinman too, nice job. The jaw and the eyes add a lot of character, I like it. The only thing that stands out to me is the way the stomach looks in relation to the rest of the torso. But that's more of a matter of preference and style than anything else. Great job though, I can't wait to see more!

  4. woa. That's quite the transformation! . What does your son think about that model once being him? That's really cool. The first one creeps me out. Not that that's a bad thing, its good to get a reaction out of your audience, but still... its just creepy  ! I think its the eyes. Anyways, cool stuff Colin, can't wait to see more.

  5. That car came out absolutely gorgeous. Great job! Incredibly accurate as well. Plus, the McLaren F1 is a really really cool car. That and the Koenigsegg CCR. Fastest street legal cars in the world I think. Anyways, You modeled that car perfectly, Stunning work!

  6. Wow. I like it a lot. Great work (as usual). The expression at the end looks dead on. And the rotation in the air looks perfect and natural. But, the only thing that looks odd to me is in the beginning when he's rocking back and forth on the planet. It looks as if he's pulling the planet back with the bottom of his wrists. It just doesn't look natural to me. Other than that though it's coming along quite well. Great work!

  7. Wow. That really came out cool! High Five :D ! Are you planning on texturing it? I like the pose in that render. It really shows off the model. The only thing would to brighten it up a bit, so you can see the detail put into it more clearly. Great work!

  8. To be honest. I liked the original wings you had first a bit better than the ones with the cookie cutter. I realize that the reason you did this was to cut back on splines right? The old ones had more mass to them and blended in with the upper portion of the wing. While the cookie cut looks flat. All in all I am really liking how this model is turning out! You're doing a great job with it. Keep up the good work!

  9. My goodness, that's an excellent model! The only thing, and its probably not a big thing because I doubt that it'll be noticeable when it has leaves, but it seems as if every twig is the same. It just takes away from the realism a little bit, but like I said I doubt it'd be noticeable with leaves on top of all that. Plus, imagining the extra work of making hundreds of individual twigs that wouldn't even be seen under the leaves is crazy, not that the level of work you put into it isn't crazy ;) . The stuff you do is always incredibly well done. Good stuff :D !
